Why haven't we seen Beasley and Austin both lined up in the slot?

Gave me flash backs to the offseason of 2017 where some thought Bease+Switzer would be unstoppable if we had both in the slot at the same time.
Swaim plays 93% of the snaps. Therefore a TE is in almost every down. Hard to go 2 in the slot with a TE. Which means no Zeke.

We couldn't manage a way to figure out how to use Witt and Bennet together, we sure ain't gonna figure out how to use 2 slot guys together.

you can scheme Ss out of the box - 4 WRs and 1 RB

Yea, but we have an addiction to having a TE on the field.
No matter if it's a HOF guy in Witten or a JAG in Swaim.

Would like to see more 4WR 1 RB packages.

Because Austin isn’t any good in the slot. Beasley is, but defenses are keen to that.

I would love to see a bunch formation with Beasley, Austin and Elliot. Put Rod in the backfield and Hurns or Thomas split out wide.

forget Hurns and Thompson in that scenario - Gallup and Butler

what makes you say that?
He doesn’t have the best hands, and while he’s amazing with the ball in his hands he doesn’t have the spatial awareness of someone like Beasley, who is both quick and adept at timing his breaks at just the right instant.
I actually like Austin in the role of jet sweep guy. It still causes plenty of havoc and we are getting 10 yards a pop on them. And he is going to take one or two to the house.

That lineup would give opposing DCs nightmares. Imagine the benefit of 3 step drops and quick slants to either side. Why does it seem so easy to the innocent bystander(me)?

We rarely run quick slants as it it why would they insert a lineup for plays linehan won't call? C'mon we've seen them go 3-4 wide w/ beasley in the slot only for all recievers to run straight vertical routes right towards the waiting defenders 10 yards downfield. stop trying to make sence of this mess. heck i'd put butler or hurns in the slot for a easy slant too since dak is having issues overthrowing the shorter guys at times. but no we won't see any of that under linehan.

That addiction needs some OCA meetings. (Offensive Coordinators Anonymous)

I haven't seen bad hands - as for spatial awareness hard to say - I'd have see him 4 or 5 targets a game for a while to say

Because neither can block,so you’re pretty limited in your options with both there at the same time. I’d try anything though at this point. This was just a stupid idea by the staff and FO to begin with. “We don’t a #1...” bullcrap.
