Why haven't we seen Beasley and Austin both lined up in the slot?

Because they didn't have those plays in Tecmo Bowl. Whatever they had in Tecmo Bowl is what you will see.
The playbook is not tecmo bowl because if it was dak would sprint back to the goal line and launch a 100 yard touch down. It is definitely more like tecmo bowl 2

That lineup would give opposing DCs nightmares. Imagine the benefit of 3 step drops and quick slants to either side. Why does it seem so easy to the innocent bystander(me)?
@Bleu Star this is a great question, I'll break it down for you.

We drafted a very nice lad and decided to play him at safety for three years. Then someone woke up and realized, "wait, that's not the position he plays", and we moved him to CB - that nice guy is Byron Jones. Imagine if instead of wasting him for years he was developing at fine tuning his skill-set at CB.

So, if it makes sense, it just can't happen. Jerry's sorry.

probably the same reason we never saw it last year with beas and switz....
Or Harris and Beasely. They'd rather have Witten and Hanna or Swaim and Jarwin then a bonified deep threat receiver w scoring capabilities. Then they wonder why they can't score more than 13 points. Lol.

If all we had was a home Depot employee at te we'd play him every single snap. This coaching staff is pathetic, ignorant, outdated , and stagnant.
The starting te hasn't caught a pass that traveled over 6 yards in the air in his career but hes playing every snap like a Superstar . I'm impressed with how swaim is improving but hes no SUPERSTAR RCEIVER!!!!

THE EVERYDOWN TE AND 2 TE SETS NEEDS TO CEASE OR WERE GONNA BE WATCHING A 2-14 FOOTBALL TEAM

I'd rather see Rico substitute in on passing downs then to leave Swaim in there for 1 play. Rico can play on the outside and catch deep balls whereas swaim is an uncovered 3 yard checkdown receiver who just gets lucky on occasion.

Swaim needs to split time with tavon and Rico for passing snaps because he's just a liability in the 4th quarter when the game is on the line and we need a clutch receiving and scoring threat

Next man up and the best we got doesn't apply to playing every snap .sorry

Come on now, those two TE mismatch nightmares we were promised when Garrett took over will materialize any day now!
That's 2 less players the defense has to cover on 3rd down is more like it. Swaim hasn't caught a ball that traveled over 10 yards in the air in his career but he's obviously a viable option for this coaching staff on every pass play. Esp 3rd and 24 when the game was on the line. This coaching staff needs to go back to Mayberry with these Gomer Pyle and Andy Griffith era play calls.

Then Rico goes up at an Angle that's undefendable for his size and makes a nice catch and they don't throw any more like it . I'd give him all of swaims passing snaps off the few snaps I've seen. We finally get another Martellus and he has to fight the ghost of 82's past and can't get no snaps without swaim .We sure as heck don't need swaim out there w Rico. We need him on the sideline when Rico is out there.

That's not fair for rico imo. Why can't swaim go sit down and be a spectator why the Athletic te Rico shows him how a deep ball receiver can go win a battle in the AIR

Why is Swaim the Constant receiver on this team when we got 13 point averages and he's not a good receiver.

Someone please explain how this is scoring points and winning games
