I told you guys that Jerry's idiot boy was just as bad and all of this "once Stephen takes over its going to be different" threads were just wishful thinking.

Only difference between Jerry and his doofus boy is that junior is cheap as hell. At least Jerry spent the cash, most of the time on the wrong players, but he still spent the cash. Junior is going to do this thing moneyball style, cant be spending that inheritance on something as insignificant as winning football games.

I'm still hopeful. I think he's towing the company line and backing up his father here. It's a ridiculous quote and just what you'd expect, but we'll see how things go when he truly is the one in charge. Right now, he's just the right hand man with a little pull.

But that’s still at least 10-20 years away. Jerry’s only 76.

The sad part is we were much closer a couple years ago.

But as usual our leadership wearing both the
Ownership and GM hats were influenced by public perception Instead of heir own football ingenuity and changed our course of history.

Of course they get it a real head coach won't let them play with their toy like Jason Garrett does. The most important thing to them is not winning but being able to do the things that they want to do. The first thing in the evaluation of a coach is will he allow us, the Jones's, to be the face of the Cowboys. The second question is can he win games.

Cowboys fans until the second question is the only question asked we are going to have problems.

It’s been a conflict of interest with ownership wearing the same hat as VP and GM.

They don’t always hold the priorities in proper place. And make decisions often based on what’s better for their images than what’s best for football.

A VP or GM that had nothing else to be concerned with than football would be in a position to be more accountable.

Unfortunately the HC would normally serve as a buffer as sorts but we can’t really rely on that here either.
