Um. Just because one is a former QB does not exclude that person from doing what we commonly call Monday morning quarterbacking. At the risk of stating the obvious, the two facts have nothing to do with each other except the word "quarterback."

And I'm not sure what the exact quote was that you're referencing, but you might be the only person here to have never disagreed with Troy Aikman on something in his 37 (or so it seems) years as a Fox analyst.

Go back and research what Troy was questioning, but think I will side with a 3 time SB champ on the state of the cowboys and call there games and is not blind over Junior who never played little league. H--- even Steve Wonder himself sees the problem. He was stating everything that is mentioned on this board and on all of sports shows (radio and TV), so Troy must be stupid like all of us.

Wasn't Jerry downplaying Dallas' interest in the QB position prior to the 2016 draft? I know they still didn't take one early, but the internal draft day conversation revealed in All or Nothing regarding Lynch/Tony seemed different than what I remember reading in public statements. No one in the room was saying "he's got five more years" and Jerry looked disappointed that they didn't get Lynch. So these public statements about JG, Dak, etc made during the season might not mean a lot.

This entire system DOES need to change tho. This is the Cowboys front office wanting to fit square pegs in round holes again because they'd rather have sustained mediocrity than suck it up and be bad for a couple seasons to build for the future.
