I have been a Cowboys fan since I was 5 years old during the mid-1970s. I understand that our beloved team has not been “relevant” for over 20 years but that is what makes this a great situation. Just imagine the feeling once things get turned around and we return to the glory days. I went through it in the 1980s and waited over 10 years for them to win another Super Bowl. I know the feeling and I can’t wait for it to happen again. Please be a little bit more patient and our time will come. So, please support our team especially now when we know that things can only get better. Don’t fall off the wagon because the feeling of raising #6 will be an amazing experience. Have faith and good things happen. Last note before I end this message......

As I am 31 and didn’t really have any idea what football was until say 97-98 and got really on board in 99.

I have seen zero Super Bowls. So when the day comes.
I will not be coming to work that next day!
Because my wife and I are going to straight up rage all night.
Wake up with a beating head the next day that will only remind me of the boys finally winning it!
And We don’t rage anymore.

Love your attitude, Young Man! Believe it or not, we all kinda got bored making the playoffs 20 years in a row and beating dynasty teams to get there. Got a little bored with winning Supper Bowls too in the 70s and 90s.

It was frigging GREAT!

Hopefully, one day, the younger Cowboys fans will get to watch a game like the one below

No matter what players we have, this coaching staff will never have the excitement and bravado of that one.

How many SB wins have you been able to experience? Because I was born in the late 80s and don't remember the early 90s.

Easy for you to say. I want to ****ing watch a SB win.

I've been on the ride since '60...and now that you mention it, the Dallas just might be able to handle the Jags top receiver - Cole.

For new math inhibited, that's 58 years...and I have seen it all. But today's NFL just doesn't guarantee success or even a repeat to any team. Cowboys or not...

They can still play a good game, and sometimes, that is rewarded.

I do feel bad for the younger fans, I became a fan in 75 too and saw 4 of them. The one I enjoyed the most was SB XXVll because we had been down so long. Such a great feeling. I'm sure the next one will feel 1000 times better but I don't even know if I'll be alive to see it. Don't think we're winning anything under these clowns.

Much older now so the high of winning won't be able to compete with the 90's winning. Good thing is the losing doesn't bother me as much as it used to either.

Hell naw, winning now will be SOOO MUCH more glorious than when I was 20 lol. We win now and I will shed man tears.

The thing about those days is we expected to win every week. When we lost it was a surprise. A Bad season was when we didn't get in a SB. Except for losing in the playoffs I don't ever remember being down after a regular season loss. I just figured we'd rebound next week and go on another winning streak and we usually did.
Yep, you mostly felt like we had a chance.

As long as JJ runs this team they way he is running it now forget about wining ain't gonna happened anytime soon

we could wish... hope.... pray ... etc.. but reality is different
JJ and his son are too involved with this team to be good.

By the definition of what a fan is some are better fans than others. For some reason this offends the others.

Solution is simple we have no control outside of stop buying merchandise and tickets.quit watching them on tv

If it’s got that much of an impact on you then you may want to find a secondary team to follow

This is not going to get better over night so the constant whinefest in all of the forums accomplish nothing

I choose to follow these boys regardless of the record or coach or qb or even front office nimrods

There are few fans left on this board.

Just Dak and Garrett bashers.

Of course, these are the same folks who screamed about getting rid of the worthless Mike Zimmer and bemoaned our picking Ware over Merriman.

I have been a fan since 1963 and the front office continues to insist on using an unsuccessful model while expecting different results. Hope is a terrible strategy.

Fan anger is justified when the solution is obvious to a 3rd grader. Hire a real, credentialed GM with a track record of winning and leave them alone in making all the football decisions. Jerry is a brilliant businessman and thats it. He happens to own the most indestructable brand in pro sports.

Jerry has had a great time the past 22 seasons living like a drunk rockstar, pretending to be a football expert, doing 99% of the interviews, and ensuring that no other NFL team can match the nepotism of the Cowboys. That has been fun for Jerry and family but it has produced the worst 22 year stretch in team history.

Fans are sick of it and I dont have to like that we are the irrelevant laughingstock of the nfl. Bad karma, bad culture, and bad football. Jerrys legacy is his life with call girls and Johnny Walker Blue while the franchise lays in ruins for the 22nd season and counting. As long as Jerry continues to run the team into the ground, every real cowboys fan has the right to be angry about it. Vote with your wallet and stop enabling the Jones cartel.

I've been a fan a little longer than that and I don't share your optimism. I don't really want to be argumentative but I don't see how this is a "great situation". This organization is regressing. They may have a grand plan but it's flawed. You cannot build a championship team through the draft alone and that is what they're trying to do. Philly, the Rams, the Chiefs and other teams have proven you CAN turn things around in 2-3 years IF you have a quality FO & capable coaching. We have neither. You say that "things can only get better". Sorry, but they can and are getting worse. To be sure there probably are fans that have fallen off the wagon but don't think for a minute that the fans on this board that are critical and frustrated have quit, far from it, we're just mad.
