Middle pressure has always been the worst, for every QB.
No it hasn't. You can see the middle pressure coming at you. You rarely see turnovers being caused because of the middle of the offensive line. Strip sacks usually come because the quarterback can't see his blindside.

Lets talk about Collins for a minute. He was supposed to be a first round pick. IF he was, he would have been a bust. But since we got him as a UDFA he sorta gets pass. But for my money he has been less than advertised. Thoughts?
Well my thoughts on him is that he got screwed over with a position change. I believe if I'm not mistaken he wanted to play tackle so he can have a shot at making more money but he's not going to make much money if he's going to be playing like this. But then again, Jeremy Parnell made a pretty good killing despite not being the best tackle.

But I'm not a fan. Sometimes you can just look at someone and tell what their position is. Collins seems like he can be a ok tackle but can be a dominant guard. I think last season he got better towards the end and we all expected for that to work its way into this season and it hasn't.

Leader of the club.

Russell Wilson was a third round pick...if not for dui...Dak would have also gone in the 3rd most likely.

Dak is not the problem on this team.

He damn sure ain’t the solution. Wilson was a third rounder cause his size, not his talent. Watch dak and Wilson throw a pass and you tell me who you’d pick as your qb

I would take both.

Just like when Wilson was drafted...i said he would be better than RG knee...

I also said Dak would be great...give him weapons and he will be again.

No. Middle pressure gets to them the fastest and prevents stepping up in the pocket. It is much more difficult to avoid and causes more issues with throws.

I disagree. When you see interceptions or fumble happen its not from middle pressure.

Have you ever watched football?
Naw I've never watched football. Now bring up your "facts" of middle pressure causing more turnovers then edge rushers.....even though edge rushers are taken with premium picks and are paid the highest in the league.....but please state your facts sir.

Inside would always be best..Simply quicker to the QB and also right in their faces. Can't throw when you cannot see. End rushers are a premium because that is simply where you have the best chance to get to a QB..DT who can rush the passer AND play the run are HOF players like Sapp and Randy White because it is so rare. End rushers, you can hide them in run defense a bit if they struggle against the run.

End rushing also takes more time so that allows the quick throws or ability to feel the rush and move in our out of the pocket. Cannot really do that when the middle is being pushed back into your face as a QB.

How many DT's in this league can rush the passer consistently? Aaron Donald? Maybe Fletcher Cox?That list is small.

And that is why DE/OLB is your best shot for creating a consistent pass rush, but any team would "take" real inside pressure over outside pressure. It is why Rod has been searching for his next Sapp every since the TB days.

I don't think he's been searching lol.......doesn't seem like he values the DT position much.

No he does..why he is a Dline coach first. Part of it is his coaching ability allows them to undervalue DT as far as draft and FA but believe me if he could get a block eater at the 1 tech and a Sapp force at the 3 tech he would be very happy.

He sure doesn't spend much resources on his defensive line.
