Astros just ran into a buzzsaw. Couple that with quiet bats and this is what you get. However, Houston will be in the mix again next year with a tweak or two. My Mets will be nowhere in sight again

Never mess with a woman's intuition! There was no way Houston was going to repeat against a powerhouse like Boston in the mix. Wasn't going to happen. But, hats off to the 'Stros for making it as far as they did.

That’s why the pay me the big bucks to do professional analysis.

I’m a Sox fan. Happy to be wrong
I started posts in the beginning of the season (MLB Thread) to the 'Stros fans telling them they won't repeat & The SOX will be the new WS champs.

I dare to show you their replies, but I'm not one to call anyone out. They know who they are.

That said, I don't need to be a professional analysis as you call yourself, to see that one coming.

With that said, GO PHILLIES! :p

Oh I was kidding man. I’m far from a professional anything sport related lmao.

I’m either right or terribly wrong ha

Altuve was robbed by West. Astros still lose the series though, and they deserve it. How dare they cheat like that, especially after what the Cards did to them. Clean up the off field foolishness and come back strong next year.

Go Astros

This has the possibility of being a wonderful World Series. Both of these teams are really damn good ball clubs with stars littered throughout their rosters (neither of them are "team of destiny"-type teams). I can see this going 7, either way. Would like to see Mookie's bat heat up for the WS, his defense has been other-worldly, tho. Would also like to see Kershaw be a dominant force. And see if Price can follow up his last start with another great outing.

I have no dog in this fight, just want to see it go 7. I don't care much for either team, personally, but I still hope we get a great series from two huge baseball markets with storied teams.

I thought the same when the home run initially happened - that it was a bad call and Altuve was robbed. But after the side angle videos, it's pretty clear that Mookie's glove was touched inside the plain of the fence. The fan is reaching through the imaginary plane that extends straight up from the Astros wall, rather than Mookie reaching back into the stands, like I had originally thought happened.. They need to raise the fence or remove a row or two, because I don't blame the fan(s) for going for the ball, nor do I disagree with the calling, now. Crappy situation for both teams.

You guys aren't going anywhere, tho, Biggems. You'll be bawk @RGV_C_Los :muttley:

There was a similar play in game 5, though a little short and it was funny watching the fans back up and put their hands on their chests.

I don't see how any one could watch that series and come away with any thing other then the best team won. Beating JV on the road to close it out showed that.

Usually, fans are kicked out for fan interference, this fan wasn’t kicked out from what I heard on the news...kinda interesting there...

Personally, it looked like pass interference to me. Altuve pass to the fan, Betts should have been flagged :muttley: resulting in a homer

The Sox were the better team and will represent the AL very well..best of luck to them

But We’ll be bawk! Lol ...go Stros!

I agree completely. I'm not an Astros fan but they really got screwed on that call.

If the fan is not reaching over the wall, to me that ball is fair game for the fans. If MLB does not want that to happen then simply force teams to put a gap between the wall and the fans like a lot of stadiums have.

The field should stop at the vertical line defined by the wall. Otherwise, if I were a defensive player, I would be diving into the crowd every time on foul balls whether I could catch it or not and I would make sure I hit a fan each time with my glove if the ball is hit over the fence.
