Not even because the fumble on the goal line. Dak is not getting the ball out fast enough, not throwing the receivers open. He also constantly did not see open receivers for crying out loud. I like Dak but he has not improved his pass read skills. He should also get his eyes examined.

I'm tired of this win on lose one BS we have endured for so dang long. Arggggg!

Like I said last week.

Have someone run the end zone look and you will see.

Romo pointed it out a few time yesterday.
Open targets down field.

Time to draft a top flight QB.

The Skins are a better team. It's that simple. Dak had another uneven performance, but the key was the Commanders ability to shut down the running game and get a productive outing from AP.

Hurns is a terrible football player. Runs 6 yard route when they need 7 and can't come up with a contested catch that was a pretty good throw. Two big opportunities to make a play and he couldn't get it done.

By yours and others account...the cowboys should have scored 78 points with all of the wide open wrs..

Maybe we have discounted the talent at wr?
not looking for 78 points more than 20 would do, in fact more than 13 sunday would have done if not for Daks great goal line play. Yep, Dak is great.

I'm with on this , it just gets crazier every week, this on takes the cake, D holds team to 13 points Dak scores touchdown for Commanders and it's the D's fault, .
Yes it is comical/sad really how some people fail to see the woods for the trees.

they won????? it looked like a L to me. It could of been a W but ..oh that fumble caused by poor OL, crap WR's, no run game, bad officiating, bad coaching, poor D giving up all those points, no reason to put this loss on Dak, Dak is great, Dak is great, everyone else around him is terrible he is the only player of the 53 that is elite. You interested in any S Fl swamp land?????

There offense scored 13 points, I'd say the defense did their job.

And to be fair, there one offensive TD should have been called back for an illegal block in the back. I know...could of, should of, would of, but the point is that the defense played good enough. When your offense and special teams give away the game, that is an issue.

We're not putting this loss on Dak because this loss isn't on him. He fumbled in the end zone but he marched down the field scored and got us back in field goal kicking range. He gave the team an opportunity to tie, or even to win the game if we had an aggressive coach. If you want to blame the offense as a whole, sure, but to say this game is squarely on dak is utter nonsense.

You can't blame zero run game. Dak is the reason we have zero run game.

I can’t understand why fans are blaming Zeke.

His production wasn’t good but that was due to Washington’s defense lack of respect to our passing game.

I wont defend dak, but that skins defender just runs right in, didn't even get touched ... dak has absolutely no protection in that play . None .
BS. If he pulls the trigger as soon as he sees Zeke wide the **** open the worst result of the play would've been an incomplete pass due to his ****** accuracy.

Yeah Romo loving Dak haters don’t like being reminded of Romo’s boneheaded plays which caused Dallas to lose. You guys want to think of him as perfect. Dak has that Tony Ohno play yesterday which cost them the game.

I will agree with you that it goes both ways. It just seems that many of you who were glad to see Romo gone still like bringing him back around to provide cover for Prescott F ups

If you want to go back to that underthrown ball to demarco that ended up being the final Nail in the coffin against Washington, be my guest if it makes you feel better. I’m not going to defend the throw it was a bad throw by Tony. Definitely not one of his finer moments

I will say at least he saw the proper read and just missed his mark. That’s preferable to standing there like a deer in the headlights while three guys are running basically totally uncovered And then eating the ball in the end zone. At least if you have a quarterback who’s able to make the proper read he will complete that throw more often than not

Zeke sucked. AD showed him up today.
LMAO cant run when at the snap 5 guys are in the backfield to tackle you..the line was beat all day and not even exaggerating.. they lined up to stop the run and they did , thats why Dak would have had 300 yards passing and 80 yards rushing again if it were not for Penaltys that brought back some big plays..odd that last year Dak had 300 against Washington to break out of his slump..

The game was lost by Penaltys and mistakes

1. The Oline penalty's and allowing constant pressure both run and pass blew the first half
2.Chris Jones early punting also left us playing short fields early on
3.not near enough sacks on alex smith as good as the defense played they let him complete too many chunk plays early..

4. that LP penalty was bad and yes he picked it up moved it 3X he might eb aware whether this is how hes always done it they are watching..
5 the coaches once again not using those 54 secs late to go for a TD afew shots at least put lp and the kicker in bad postion outdoors on turf with wind..

6 Dak yes the fumbles thats right dak is 6th he played well enough to win Hurns dropped a big one etc and that pressure he played under id say he wasn't as the OP states the reason we lost..yes the fumble 6pt was hard to deal with but he brought us back and did enough to win..part of the issues yes but not THE reason this time..

things are stale ,like any marriage..you need to spice it up lol..time for JG to go or its time for Linehan to. I actually think if JG goes, so will Scotty lol.

no...I am in your corner on this. The overreaction is crazy. lol....Bottomline is, Dak did a yeoman's job late. He wasn't the main issue at all. The oline has very real glaring issues...Williams is a liability as is Tyron and Collins. Looney is actually playing better than them. Hes been steady. Martin is great. Tyron is a mess at times.
agree see my post someone with normal glasses on instead of DakHate.. yes Dak needs to fix some more of his game but today was not his fault\\/s..

Time to draft a top flight QB.

I'm for drafting a top flight QB. However expecting a QB to come in out of college and to be the magical fix it to the rest of the Cowboys problems puts pressure on him and hinders him, especially if Garrett remains the head coach. As I said Dak can be called out when he plays bad, but that doesn't mean the other players and the coaches on the time should be let off of the hook for their bad play. Blaming the bad run game on Dak, when Dak can't control how the O line let's defenders through to Zeke for a loss of yards. The Oline getting penalties at the worst times to wipe out big plays/first downs isn't going to help out Dak and it's not going to help a young QB trying to adjust his talents to the NFL. And WRs dropping balls that hit them in the hands for sure aren't going to help out any young QB, especially one who needs those plays to happen to gain confidence in the NFL.

So, we replace Dak by drafting a QB, but the front office fails to address the other issues on the team and we are back to square one only this time there will be a bunch of threads blaming the new QB. Like Romo and Dak has been blamed, yet Garrett sticks around.

The O played poorly, that is correct but a recurring theme in Dak led offenses. Dak's inability to function when the game is on him is why this was a loss just like many past games. It's not nonsense, nonsense is defending Dak when he is not defendable, this loss to Commanders falls squarely on Dak's shoulders and I am sure he is man enough to own up to it. Anytime the a Defense in the NFL holds a team to 13 points and they lose the game it is the QB's fault just about every-time . The inability to direct a offense reasonably well is the QB's job, Dak is very poor at his job right now, like Bortles he should be benched, problem is there is no quality back up. Every week it's another excuse for poor old Dak, what excuse will be next week, the defense just can't keep giving up 13 points??????????

How old are you? You don't know or remember the 1992 Cowboys @ Commanders matchup with the NFC East title on the line since 1985? Check out this bad memory lane video. Now THIS is most likely the most boneheaded comparable play in Cowboys history. It makes Dak's stripped fumble and cost look pedestrian.

Watch all of the highlight video (especially the very end around the 3:00 minute mark) and see for yourself.

First off Aikman was trying to make a pass when he got hit. Dak was just running and fumbled the ball. Maybe you should go watch the video. One was a player trying to make a pass the other was a bone headed play

If anyone lost this game, it was Garrett and his offensive coaching .

not dak .

Jimmy Johnson once said that you can't blame players during the season for losses. You have to blame the coaches. It is the coaches job to get the team prepared and the FO's job to make sure the right players are in place.

yes sir that's the truth. Dak was the solution. He and Beasley played out of their minds in the fourth. Dak haters do not dare admit that, but its fact. YES he missed a couple throws and reads...but eres the dirty lil secret no one mentions. ALL QB'S...even Aaron Rodgers, makes the very same mistakes. But the sports pundits and or fans never wanna say it because they know its pretty common. Dak is just fine and I have no issues with him. Look at his last 3 games...he has gradually gotten better and better. While the oline has gotten worse and worse. The 1 fix is Fred Beard. Hes the bond the gets the oline on the same page...He is that good. Looney has been a beast..but hes no Fred Beard. We are missing that guy BAD...he gets the hogs playing at an elite level. Fix the oline, we will string together some wins, period. Then hopefully the refs and JG wont gift another game to an opponent.
