I disagree. Jerry Jones has earned an extreme fan hiatus.

The franchise will be here when Jerry's gone, it was a franchise before him and it will be after him. So yes you're not a fan of the Dallas Cowboys

Ding Ding Ding

You don't want to be a Cowboys fan any longer? I have no problem with that.
Want to quit watching football all together? I have no problem with that.
Want to switch to a different football team? I have no problem with that.

However I don't need to hear no whiners trying to grandstand on this board how they will no longer be a cowboys fan and still sit on here and whine and complain endlessly about the team.

Again if you complain as a COWBOYS FAN that is one thing. We are pretty much all tired of the team, Jerry, Jason, Dak, Linehan, the offense, the defense or whoever you want to name. It is understandable.

HOWEVER If you want to say you are no longer a Cowboys Fan but you want to stay here and keep complaining from thread to thread...just leave now and spare us your whining. Find another sports team message board and join it. Or just ignore the cowboys all together and feel better about your life.

I get that you're a fanatic, but I myself have mellowed in my views on fanhood. It's not immoral to have mixed feelings about an owner that abuses his franchise. In fact, I think you love your team MORE if you demand more and walk away for a while.

Nobody said you couldn't be disappointed, but to say you're quitting as a fan is lame. It's entertainment, no killed anybody or committed a crime.

Oh come on...that’s just emotional reactionary hyperbole from frustration. Like the wife who’s angry at the husband for the umpteenth time..”I’ve had it with this Harold!! I’m calling our attorney for a divorce!!” but doesn’t really mean it.

Think about what it meant to be a fan of the Cowboys back in the day. It was great, you had hope, you had a team driven to win and you had quality coaching. In comes Jerry and he crapped on all of those things. I don't blame fans at all for being POed and threatening to jump ship. Jerry pushed every fan in the wrong direction. He took a once great and proud franchise and turned them into perennial losers with no sign at all of changing that.

Complain All you want to, I do! Those that are "threatening" to leave, See Ya!!!! Let us real fans complain in peace!
As real a fan as the next guy. Grandfather taped all the cowboys games in the 90s... he was a fan since the 60s. I cried as a kid when the lions beat them in the playoffs and Ray Crockett ran back that int for a TD. In '94 when they lost to the 49ers. What this franchise has done this year and last is inexcusable. They got their blinders on preferring a qb with a perfect circumstance and 1 year over players with years of success and devotion. I wont be a fan right now, and will root against them until they start over.

So you don't believe in Freedom of Speech?

The way I see it is if they want to root for another team, let them. They are not forcing YOU to do so, therefore why is it affecting you so deeply?

But that's the "problem" with Freedom. A lot of, if not most, people may not agree with your POV.

After 22 years of general mediocrity, the Cowboys' loyal fans deserve better. The fair weather fans come and go anyways and I'm not concerned about them. They can go root for any team they like.

I belong to a group of fans 40 and over that remember the glory days, when success was measured only by Super Bowl wins. I've suffered since 1996 and will never switch teams now. Why make all that worthless by rooting for another team only to come crawling back again some wonderful year?

That's the way I feel.
