Sitting on the 45 yard FG again this ******* lucked out. If Maher misses that kick which is very possible and we lose that game that is all we are talking about right now. Don't care for the idiot who comes on here and says "if", cause it didn't happen today doesn't mean it doesn't happen next time. Not saying I don't have confidence in our kicker but you gotta be more aggressive in that situation and if I was the HC or OC I wouldn't be comfortable till the ball was inside the 20.
If youre gonna say some variation "yeah we won but dont give him too much credit" then you have to consider the opposite too. We could have easily beaten Carolina, the Commanders and Texans. And heck the other 2 losses fairly close too. You cant really call Garrett lucky in 2018.

I’m just trying to enjoy this win and the fact we have a shot at the division now. I need to ignore the Garrett stuff for now.

I hope we make the playoffs and do something at this point because the division is ours if they can just go take it.

Pro's Dak was clutch in that final drive..

Cons Garrett is a coward again putting the game in the kickers hand. No confidence in his team. That kick was almost no good, we can't play like that if we even reach playoffs.

One key thing to consider was Tyron getting hurt on the 2nd down play I believe. It would have been very risky to try a drop back pass with a new LT coming in cold and risk a blind side strip sack.

I would agree overall with the premise of the OP. I would like us to take a shot at more yardage or the endzone in that situation and then kick a field goal. But with Maher it's a crapshoot anyway. One minute he's making 55 yarders and the next minute he's missing extra points. So today I didn't have much confidence in our kicker so I was thinking "please no turnovers" so we can at least go to overtime if he misses. He made it and I'm happy.

It's easy to see why Jones like JG. After the Titans loss, we wrote this team off ... Under JG, this team seems to rally and now we are talking division title...just crazy.

I have no Problems with not leaving Matty Ice Time on the Clock for a Comeback or having Dak maybe throw an INT.

Problem was three straight Zeke runs through the Middle. Everyone knew what was coming. Atleast mix up another Play. A Screen to Zeke would have been safe too but might get us 5-10 Yards instead of 1. They stacked the Box with 9 or so on those runs. Of course you aint gaining much

Garrett broke out the job saving playbook this week. Wade and some of the Garrett haters must hate this. lol

Every [every] coach in the NFL faces this issue. Talk about empty whining.
Really? How can you be so naive. Every coach faces this issue? Does every coach coach like Garrett? Does every coach have the poorest game management? Belichick, Payton and others are strongly offended.

The NFC is average at best beyond LA and N.O., if Jason Carrot doesn’t get this team to the playoffs and at least a win in the playoffs, he’s gone.

Add that to the gtless play calling before the half, this guy never learns , you need to strive for the maximum and if it doesnt happen have to have a bcakup plan. Always trying to play for FG, or going through motions(instead of trying hard) is why he has 8-8 seasons repeatedly . Even when the players are playing for him , he plays percentages and not go for the kill.
He likes his job.

So what?

He was scared to death of a sack or pick or leaving ATL time on the clock. Basically he was playing scared.

I agree w/ 30 seconds left and a shaky kicker, you have to get that within 35 yds minimum.
Maher made all 3 fgs and one from 50..yes hes been bit off of late but overall hes played well.. I do wish before the half we through a hail marry or tried long FG and yes maybe a shot or two at the end zone but like some have said if those dont work you get clock stoppage or INT could have lost the game..

Its not Garetts fault Beasly drops a sure TD 4points and Maher Xpoint 1 point = 5 points we would never had been in the FG for the win situation but we were..its over enjoy it..
