Let's be critically honest about this offense

The offense could only score 22 against one of the worst defenses in the NFL giving up 27 ppg.

Yes, the defense has improved and seems to be the strength of the team but the name of the game is points. And it is not a shut down defense.

Elliott is playing great and the OL seems to be better; however, our run game is like bringing a knife to a gunfight. Scoring in the low 20's isn't going to get it done.

The reality is that the Cowboys have beaten two 2nd tier non playoff teams with losing records that are pretty evenly matched with them as the scores would indicate. And it is great to put two wins back to back and away at that; however, this team is not a tier 1 team.

I agree. They’re not there yet. If I had to ride with Garrett again:
1)Get QB Guru for Dak
2)Change OC
3)Use FA and the Draft to acquire DT, QB, WR, S, TE, OL

We MAY have to prioritize LT...

It is at least possible that we are improving each week and if they can keep doing that, we might be a better team but the end of the year than we were yesterday.

That said the offensive coaching has always been vanilla. That's not going to change

I just don't see it.

We're too good defensively and waste too much clock offensively for the game to get out of hand.

Now a turnover and going down 2 TD's early could lead to a blowout but we're just not the kind of team that's going to get blown out.
The Cowboys haven't faced an offense like the Saints. We're good defensively against mid level offenses, nothing like what they've been doing and they have a very good OL, they're just a better team top to bottom.

The Eagles are pretty banged up but still Schwartz was befuddled all game long. Brees is just too good and too accurate and so far, too protected.

Dallas dropped two more sure INTs yesterday. What if on that one.

And a sure TD pass and missed a PAT! That’s a minimum of five points. Who knows how many points those INTs would have meant!

Beasley doesn't drop that sure touchdown and Brett Maher doesn't miss the extra point and it's a completely different score

Wait, Howard, you telling me those two things aren't in your glovebox? What the hell do you have in there? Manual, tire gauge and maps? You, have a priorities issue.
They were 20 years ago but I've been married for 19 years. I can't keep slim jims in there because I eat them too fast.

C'mon, what's next? Let's what if passes tipped at the line? Every close game can be what if'd. Hey, what if the Eagles hadn't gotten off the plane in New Orleans? A forfeit would have been better than that beating.

Atlanta is a top 5 not mid tier offense. I agree Brees is playing out of his mind right now. He is not getting sacked and they are also running the ball very well so yes it is going to be a difficult task. Way I see it we got to play them so may as well go out and try to beat them.

Which is the case for most other teams offenses, but a very rare occurrence for our offense. The D rarely helps them out in that regard.

That was not in response to points per game but to our offense as a whole in the game in which we put up 22.

I think this team's ceiling is potentially winning a wild card round game where we win the division and host the panthers, vikings, seahawks, somebody like that. No way do I see this offense traveling on the road and winning in chicago or new orleans in the divisional round.

I think we have to see at the very least a new OC next season to fix this offense's passing/scoring problems.

And if Julio doesn't drop that ball and Ridley doesn't miff his catch and if Sanu makes that difficult but makeable catch?

What if Jackie Smith doesn't drop that TD pass? What if Crayton makes that catch? What if Dez makes that catch? All close games have what if's but they don't count in the final score.

The only thing that would help us in CHI is this team is built for weather games, run the ball and play good D. LA or NO, no, don't even see a competitive game.

22 points on the road is damn good. Winning on the road is damn good.

Again, im not going to bash this team for winning.

In sports, its simple, you win you lose, thats it. What you do today doesnt matter tomorrow. Yes yes yes we all hashed it out. Right or wrong, Garrett won and thats all teh league sees. Thats all the record sees. The end.

Heres something any fighter will tell you, "they dont ask you how you won, they ask you if you won"

Nothing else matters.

What i don't understand about the Offense is why we don't stick more with what works. For example do you know how impossible it is for defenses to stop the RPO plays with zeke and dak. I feel there is so much more we can do.

You saw last night the bears for a half literally ran every misdirection play they could. Until the vikings adjusted to it second half, then the bears did other things.

I mean look at the jags game. That defense is far better and we lit them up cause we opened everything up. I'm not just talking about road games either, road games are tough to win. I'm talking vs a team like the titans at home a couple weeks ago.

Until this coaching staff proves otherwise i believe they call the game scared. Yesterday end of the half a perfect example.
