Let's be critically honest about this offense

LOL! For that to make any kind of sense, you’d have to also discount all the points Atlanta allowed that shouldn’t count against the D.

Short field caused by a Falcons turnover, special teams miscues, etc.

I’m letting go of your hand now, child. Try not to fall and crack your empty head open.

You wanted to inflate what the offense did by adding in missed points and compare it to what Atlanta’s defense allows.

But then, you have to do that to every game for a true read.

I know, I know..... you can count all the way to potato.

We will have to score in the 30+ range on a regular basis in the playoffs to go where we want. I don't see it happening. Hire a coach that doesn't have a 25 year old playbook and can create plays that fit the players. And draft a qb.

When did Atlanta score? The 4th quarter? At home too.

Doing that to Atlanta with Matt Ryan and all of the weapons they have tells me that it's going to be a struggle for any offense.

Now that our linebackers are so dynamic we can matchup with a guy like Kamara when he's split out.

I hate Garrett's formula of football because it keeps bad teams in games but it will keep us in a game with the Saints or Rams I think.

People here blame Dak for lots of things. However, they failed to see that were a run 1st team.

A run first team doesn't get a lot of passing yards. Thats the fault of the design of this offense. The designer is Garrett. The implementor is Linehan. We need a completely new offense design. The only way to do that is getting rid of Garrett and Linehan.

Man if we had Romo with this defense and Zeke we drop a hundo on teams

Post designed to trigger peeps.

Umm he had TO, Glenn, a young Witten and Marian Barber and averaged 28 ppg ohh and somehow still never won a playoff game.

We just need to unleash Prescott. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Cowboys!

You’d have to apply the points that shouldn’t have counted against them too if you want a true read.

When Matt Ryan throws an INT that is returned to the 1-yard line, the ensuing TD is not the defense’s fault.

You’re “special” and I won’t judge you. You can count the tolls the drivers pay and you usually know how much change to give back. I’m thrilled for you!

Scares me how much this teams success depends on Zeke.......and this includes our defense which has Zeke keeping them off the field and fresh.....ZEKE ZEKE ZEKE and will see how far this will take us????
Either way a HUGE Thank you to # 21

The entire offense does this. Unless you see Zeke lining up all alone with no one else but the opponent on the field and running the ball. Yes, our success depends on the run game, the run first mentality to set up everything else. Is it the greatest show on turf? No, does it help you win games? Yes.

I don't know I have watched SB winners come in with top defenses and win it all. Saying we have to score this many points in post season? I don't think that is true. Meantime you got to get to post season 1st and this team has dug themselves a hole so right now Skins game is the only one I care about.

2 points here. Beasley should have caught it. Maher never missed a FG
You're right. Maher never did miss a FG. Just seems like he always does. This guy is so bad awful with his accuracy. I don't trust him at all. Just a matter of time before he costs us some crucial games going forward.

Reminds me of the Mike Vanderjagt and Martin Gramatica days.

I agree, He is an important part but even in games where he is over 100 we don't win unless the passing game has been at least effective. This past game with 1:51 remaining Dak had to step up and make the throws including a 3rd and 8 to Gallup on the sideline to keep the drive alive. It took a big play by Beasley to get us in range for the game winner FG. Zeke is a critical part of this team but he is not doing in alone.

Wanting to be RUN first team is a myth. All coaches want their O to be balanced and can beat you both ways.
Only reason we are a RUN first team is because Dak is limited. Against Atlanta who has one of the worst passing D in the league we still can't score >24. Big chunk of Daks yardage came off screen pass too.

Luckily, you don’t need to be a tier 1 team on November 19th to have a chance. Look at the giants twice, the ravens, etc. just in the last decade.

They’re trending in a positive direction. Let’s wait and see what happens.
Dak isn't on the same level as Eli, and Garrett isn't in the same stratosphere as Coughlin.

I don't trust him either but he's not as terrible as it seems. He's middle of the pack (16th) at 84% and he's attempted the 4th most (25). I guess if there are some positives for him it's that he's a rookie, so there's room for improvement, and he's missed 2 from 40-49, 1 from 50-59, and 1 from 30-39 so he's pretty consistent regardless of distance.

Bottom line is, if we want to minimize his impact we need to start scoring TDs instead of FGs.

In the evolution of today’s NFL, you can be a mediocre team offenseively and win some games but you will be like this Cowboys team- 5-5, having beaten a few mediocre to below mediocre teams.

Teams that are seriously competitive for playoff success all have top tier offenses. To take it a step further- those teams are coached by HCs who are adaptive, aggressive and creative. Three words you would never remotely associate with Jason Garrett.

(In Denny Green voice) “Garrett and this offense are who we thought they were!”

WE are a run first team. Thats not a myth. All coaches does not include Garrett. He believes more in the process more so that having an explosive offensive.

Or lack of points problem is not Dak. We even had this problem back when Tony was playing also.

Garrett's offense is predicated on ball control using the run, short passing, kicking field goals. Only when we have to score during the waning moments of the game is when Dak gets to be himself and score points. The same offense affected Romo as well. It was not until Romo was given more control of the offense that we started to be more effective.

Our problem is coaching. Not Dak, not the players. Get rid of our head coach, we would solve the biggest problem with our offense.

It seems pretty simply about the QB. Even with a good running game its very apparent (and why they get paid), its all about the QB. Hopefully he's getting those footsteps out of his head.

We’re a run first team because we can’t throw.

We were a run first team in 2014 too and Romo still lit it up because he could throw.

We’re playing football like we’re the modern day 90s Cornhuskers right now.
