If the spot was at the 50, yes he was. If you look at the photo, he's the ONLY Cowboy over the 50, and by good margin. The blue line for the line of scrimmage cannot overlay the white line marker because it needs a green background so that too tells me the LOS was probably the 50.

You need to be looking at the ball not the 50-yard line. No part of him is across the ball, which is the point of the article.

The neutral zone is, per the official rulebook, the “space between the forward and backward points of the ball (planes) and extends to the sidelines.”

The officiating was bad for both teams.

Beastly should not have had that first down.

Troy and Buck was talking about J Smith with the helmet to helmet but failed to mention he did the same thing earlier in the game as well.

Regardless of if he was technically in the neutral zone or not, it was close enough that you don't throw the flag on it.

That happens dozens of times a game.
well said. You don't make that call the majority of the time...and the kicker is, he wasn't actually lined up in the neutral zone. It was a horrible call to be blunt.

I thought he made contact with his forearm earlier in the game, but not his helmet.

that's not offsides man. Look closer. His helmet is not across the ball.

Doesn't matter if it's across the ball. If the Center moved the ball back you still can't advance forward into what was the marked neutral zone. Even if the blue line is accurate, Gregory's head is in that blue zone too. Again, he's the ONLY one over the 50 on defense at all. Isn't that right?

The flying helmet torpedo launch on Kamara by Jaylon.
But you know what...I don't have an issue with that play. It was a bang bang play and it was in the open field. If you watch it in real time it appears his shoulder pads hit the helmet more than helmet to helmet. I think that's why the refs let it go...was a gray area.

See my post above this. Even if the Center moves the ball that's marked by the official?

No his head is not over the 50.Its close, but not. Yes he is further up than he prolly should be in comp. with his dline, but he's not in that zone.

Well that's not convenient at all. LOL.
