Dak leads the NFL in sacks

When was tha last time you saw Dak legitimately throw the ball away?

there's an old school solution for such issues in the system ... throw more slants

wasn't that part of the job description for Beasley, Brown, Hurns, Gallup, Cooper the LBs and Ss jumpy and opens lanes run and pass ... DUH

it also helps get timing on beat

all of those guys are here in large part because they all run nice slants and have good hands ... all 5 of them

I gotta take a look but there haven't been a lot drops in awhile - it may not take much to turn this into a much higher scoring O down the stretch

if you think about this O the 2 pass you have dominate with are slants and pay action deep - it ain't rocket science, just do it
 
First problem is the LG,Filo is either injured or regressed terribly.a lot of Daks fumbles are pressure straight up.I think we need a new LG or Filo has to play way better because on some of those pressures and sacks he barely is even putting up a simple road block.
 
Dak is pressured on 34.2% of his dropbacks...the 6th highest rate in the league

no it's not, ask Romo ... how many times he got beat up (like Dak, trying to extend slow developing plays) while his RBs had great days?
go watch a high light film from 2013 ... right now I even miss Doug Free

dude, this is an ok OL with a great RB and a weird QB ... does Dak it worse? yeah, he's 12 sacks he caused, by missing a blitz or wandering into pressure, he's gotten the gitters. but I can't blame Dak for any of the 7 last Thursday - but the FUMs are on him and that's far worse

look at the hitch and go he missed to Gallup last week - after pumping left he turns and throws w/o really targeting Mike
it was bounce and throw, he didn't use the full beat

but he's also learning to win even with sacks ... 17 in the last 4Ws

health matters - Fleming looked ok, La'el was La'el, both OGs literally limping, Looney was more than solid,
I wish Colombo luck with managing all that, it's just like with the WRs and TEs ... many new O faces

let's see what happens down the stretch - with some home cooking this O may start scoring
 
Anyone who blames the offensive line for the number of sacks / fumbles needs to take the blinders off. You cant take them serious.

Has the OL performed at it's full potential? Absolutely not however dak is to blame for lots of those statistics.

Wasn't the oline like 10th or so entering the saints game? Also an article posted had dak as one of the quarterbacks with the most passing time.

So I don’t know if it will get a whole lot better than it is right now. whats the % of them 45 sacks of his total snap count? The majority of the time the OL is very good. But watching a sack, you dont need a stat to tell you the OL is stuggling with pass protection

Football outsiders has Dallas ranked as the 30th ranked OL in pass protection

Tyron Smith 2 sacks
La'el Collins has be stated as being responsible for 5 sacks.
Xavier Su'a Filo 5.5 sacks
Connor Williams 4.5 sacks
Joe Looney 3 sacks
Zack Martin 1 sack
Cameron Fleming 1 sack
Adam Redmon 1 sack

Then you take into account coverage sacks, TE's who have allowed sacks. And yes Dak has been resposible for sacks aswell for holding on to the ball too long.

But to have ur OL allowing that many sacks is bad.

Yeah, it’s just pocket presence and Dak holding the ball to long. You really don’t watch the games do you? This O line is not pass blocking very well, but you don’t see it! LOL
 
Yep,he’s right on pace to break the 49 sack franchise record in 2005 with Bledsoe. There’s another feather for Garrett’s seasonal franchise stats to wear in his hat. I don’t know what you do,but it’s got to be moderated. This is too much.

no one has missed the self induced sacks, he leads the NFL:
Dak Prescott 13, Patrick Mahomes 9, Russell Wilson 8, Deshaun Watson 7, Mitchell Trubisky 7, Jared Goff 7
funny - all those guys are on winning teams

going into 2016 the Boys OL was #1 ... you mentioned 10th as of last week

explain this ... why wasn't Dak wandering into sacks when he had a top OL?

Run blocking and pass blocking are totally different things.
