It's because once a narrative gets established, it's hard to break it. Conventional wisdom is that Dak is a bus driver and Wentz is great. It takes alot to change that perception for people who don't follow a team closely. Brees and Rodgers are thought of as perfect QB's, yet both have only been to a Super Bowl once.
