if we had Romo, Gallup and Amari would be basically asked to run go routes until the safety's basically start to double them leaving Zeke open to run for 7-20 yards per carry

Romo has been built up to be a Greek mythological character in our fan's heads. When in reality, he crapped the bed in pretty much any big game we had outside a few. Not to mention he could never play a full season outside a few. But hey, keep believing this team would be unstoppable with a gimp QB. I mean he had a decade to prove it on the field and never came close. But now that he is retired, fans can make up hypothetical scenarios to prop him up that are not realistic.

I don't remember the exact quote but he mentioned something like we're going to run the hook again and he was frustrated. Frustration equals annoyance in my book.

I'm on my phone, so I'll get back to you when I get on my computer later. That way I CA review what I already know.

Lol.. again he was frustrated he wasn't getting the ball early.

Clove has it right (more or less):

In less than four full seasons, Amari Cooper has 15 100 yard games. Dez has 19 (including playoffs) ... in eight full years.
Wow...didn't realize this. Good stuff.

Amari already ragged the scheme, so much so, he and Dak changed it, immediate touch down.
Do you think this is something the coaching staff gives them flexibility to do? When they see the defense playing a certain way they can make adjustments to their routes?

Or do you think they defied the coaching staff by ignoring the play call and doing what they wanted?

Have to ask Linehan and Garrett. Does Dak have the authority to change it? Would he have to change it if he'd just call the go? Would he have to change it if another route (better one was called)
We he have to change it if it were say an in-and-go or variations of that. Ask Linehan

Amazing. And the petty trolls said Dak doesnt make anyone better.
They had to trade a 1st for a premier receiver whose a stirling route runner just to get Dak to the level of serviceable. Take out either Cooper or Zeke and he'll be back to Danny Wuerful!

Honestly, I think it is something the staff wants from players. That's part of their development. Particularly important as Linehan is in the bix above now.

This isn't an indictment of the play calling. It is a QB and WR communicating in real time. Amazing how this is an issue. How many times do you think Brees, Brady, or Rodgers change the play? (Note that Payton says Brees changes every play). Two players saw something and exploited it. That's how a good O works

Make no mistake: Cooper thought the play call was “ridiculous” and was “mad” about it, given that it was plain to see they were sitting on the stop route “if you were watching”. That’s why he implored Dak to make the adjustment. Dak initially resisted (presumably because he doesn’t feel he has the freedom to do so) but later relented.

So we got the younger Julio Jones for a first that is 25th?

Cause that's who leads the league since week 1. Cooper is since he got traded.

I would love to go back to some of my old threads and replies once this trade was immediately done.

Well 7 full years. Can't really count a year of Dez being injured.

Also Dez had to play an additional two full season's worth of games without his starting QB due to their various injuries.

In other words, some varibles in there but still impressive none the less.

He didn’t rise up and win anything of importance and he didn’t turn any RB into Bo Jackson on Tecmo Bowl., not even the franchises single season rushing leader, as is being suggested he would do for Zeke. The over-exaggeration of this dudes ability can stand a little extreme comments to the contrary. It’s only fair
Didnt Murray lead season rushing ?
