With this Defense, Rb, and Wr threat to make teams pay for focusing on Elliot. We are built to win it all.

But the QB position still scares me. Defenses focus on Elliot, which in return allows guys like Cooper, Gallup and Beasley to roam free, and we all see it. But what happens more than half the time?

Dak misses them for big plays. So instead of jumping out to a huge lead, we let teams hang around, scoring FGs with a shaky kicker.

Our D puts the clamps down on other teams, but when our O, mainly Dak gets to dicking around for most of the game, they are bound to break a little. Then like the *******s many of us are, we get mad at the D.

It would be disappointing to have this team and not win it all because of Dak and his inability to consistently burn teams.

With Romo we'd def win. Even Stafford or Carr would get the job done. I don't believe in Daks ability to throw

Man.... Romo had his chance with just as good of a team if not better in 2007, 2009 & 2014. We need to lose this Romo narrative quick. He was great but every Cowboy fan remembers him more from choking than actually winning. Please remember Nostalgia is the thief of happiness, while that saying is more geared towards real life it fits with the Romo fanboy love.
He just was never good enough. Not making it to one championship game and only winning two wild card games don't cut it.
Stafford.. What can you say about him? I dont want to pay him 25 million a year and put up empty stats. He has great talent but he has been in the league 10 years one pro bowl, i guess it can be bad coaches for 10 years but I doubt it. He has had a bunch of offensive talent around him. The crazy thing is he will probably walk away owning a bunch of passing records because of his longevity.
Carr has had basically one good year and yes I would take a flier on him but I dont think we are in the position to go after him, unless something happens to DAK. Im sure Oakland wil release him this offseason and then probably the Skins will get him .. knowing our luck.

I get what you are saying and I feel the same way. Of course fans will lean on the clutch crutch when dak lucks up like he did against philly but deep down we all know how it's really going to end, and dak will be a major reason why.

It's just a matter of time. Our fanbase is delusional when things like this are brought up. They are forcing themselves to believe different.

It was the same with Romo. He choked alot but fans will still say he was the best without mentioning the negative.

They didnt want to hear it about Romo and now they dont want to hear it about dak.

We are going down sooner than later and that's reality.

No way in hell do I believe we keep winning the way we are with the mistakes at the QB position.

*laughs in 2 Super Bowl rings*

As we have found out many times, everything has to go right and you have to have a little luck as well. Just need a 4 game streak - just ask Eli.

The offensive line has to get healthy though - I think that is a fact. I watched the game again last night and Dak was great except for 3 throws and a fumble. I like the quick hitters with the TE - I have not seen us do that before and is a great weapon for protection issues.

People are so damn eager for the team to fail with Dak. It's like they are foaming at the mouth, ready to pop their champagne, and celebrate.

Whatever happens, Dak absolutely CANNOT win 2 playoff games in the same postseason. That would be blood in the water.

Oh so when Dak makes plays in the 4th quarter and overtime it's just luck......... Well if he has all that luck then we will be winning Superbowls in no time

You may be right and Dallas fails, I'm also a fan of the Cowboys and fully back and support the team. I'm not some half ars fan who lives in pretend world claiming how a player who is out of the league would have won the SB. If Dallas makes it to the SB it will not be Dak alone it will be this team stepping up and getting it done.

As much as I love(d) Romo, he did have a good defense when we played Minnesota (Brett Favre days), but the offense crashed, and he played like hot garbage. All QB's go thru some growing pains. I still have faith that with a better QB coach, Dak can shine. Man, even everyone's pet Cooper Rush looked awful in preseason, after flashing potential prior to it. Kellen Moore needs to go sell Buicks. We need an actual QB coach. Someone with a more brash attitude.

Let's not forget that Stafford had MegaTron.

I agree but what is left out is if Dallas wins it all it will be because the Dallas Cowboys the team won it, not 1 person. Maybe it is just me but during the 90's I never felt it was all on Aikman, in my eyes it was on the Cowboys (Team) offense, defense and special team who had to play quality football to win it all. Football in my view is the ultimate team sport not a 1 man show

Carr would get it done? Yeah, thats why Dak has made Amari into a new man since he left the guy you say is better. Some arguments make me laugh.

I think Cowboys fans are foaming at the mouth, ready to celebrate and pop the champagne over our first Super Bowl win in over 2 decades.

Many of them (myself included) think this team has Super Bowl capability at every position group except QB. We're not hoping for Dak to fail.
We see his warts, and we're concerned that he simply isn't good enough. I've seen you express similar concerns in many posts.

It's a team sport and Dak will be a part of that.
