I thought this was pretty solid.

"The leadership of this team getting exposed.......... when down, you don't see any players on the sidelines getting into each others faces, nobody saying anything. And Normally, that would come from a QB position, but Dak doesn't play well enough to be that type of leader....."

He sounds like he has no clue about football nor the Cowboys. How in the heck does he not mention Tank in regards to leadership?

I'm sorry, was Merriman on the sidelines yesterday? He's literally just pulling things out of his arse.

I’m not a fan of Dak’s play on the field but it’s silly to try and claim someone is or isn’t a leader while sitting on your sofa.

We don’t see them behind the scenes so we really have no idea whether he’s a good leader or not do we?

Heard the same nonsense about Romo. Who knows what’s being said between players?

Shawn’s an idiot. Grown men aren’t looking to qbs as leaders they really only care about their own personal game and monetary contracts.

If a frail guy like Jared Goff got in Aaron Donald’s face he would turn it into soup.

Dez was the last true leader of the cowboys team.

Your comparisons don't compare straight up...a quarterback is a team leader, but offenses and defenses are policed differently on a team. Coaches aren't supposed to allow both sides to get out of kilter as a standard.

If a defense doesn't police itself...they are pansies to start with.

There was way too little from the young linebackers...a 'wolf howl?'

He’s a idiot. He’s proven that throughout both careers he’s had. So Dak and DeMarcus Lawrence don’t do this? Or Sean Lee? Look for something else to cling to.

C'mom ....getting in each other face and saying what? These are grown men.......they know what they have to do.

Now that is what you need your QB to do. But in all honesty, how can anyone take Dak seriously if he started doing that on the sideline? Super Bowl rings and a HOF career trajectory go a long way.
Fair point brother. I just get riled up when I hear Troy go off

Still holding on to the glory that was 2016? Dak isn't a good QB unless you don't distinguish between mediocre and good. ZERO playoff wins. Zero points with a division title on the line. He's a glorified back-up qb.

Payton Manning had zero playoff wins in his first five years in the NFL. He sucks, he's a backup.

Yes because leadership is all about getting in guys faces and Shawn Merriman would definitely know all about this.

I hate using the word overrated but I'm going to here. Getting in guy's faces is one of the most overrated things in sports. It means nothing. Leading by example on the field is leadership.
