Aside from personal impressions of Deion, if you look at where the playoff teams rank in terms of QB contracts, it's hard to disagree.

The whole contract thing kills my buzz. The mismanagement of contracts can be as devastating as injuries when it comes to what you can put on the field. I do however agree with Deon that neither of these guys are lighting it up so they shouldn't be able to break the bank.

I agree with him 100%. The problem is if another team is willing to pay your QB the big money, you have to be prepared to let him go whether they're worth it or not. Coaches and owners often believe it is the quarterback that is the driving force behind their team's success. In many cases the team around said quarterback is equally important. The thing is, the quarterback is the general, the queen of the chess board. It's harder to replace that loss than it is a knight or bishop.

I don’t necessarily disagree with Deion but, considering he always tried to break the bank with every contract he ever signed — in TWO pro sports — back when he played, maybe he isn’t really the right guy to be criticizing the salaries of today’s players.

Qb's make the most $ because they are the CEO of their teams be they good or bad they will always make the m
Nice bait. Just came back from 37 day ban. I'm gucci
Now that is funny stuff, how the Hell does someone get a 37 day ban? Not 34 days or 26 days or 42 days but someone actually picked 37 as the # that would solve all of life's ills, would love to hear that one.

Have always liked Deion, some of his stuff is backed but who agrees with everyone 100% of the time. Was definitely probably the most talented player that I have ever seen since I have been watching football. Some of what he says regarding qb contracts makes sense, but at the end of the day a receiver is not going to make more than a qb just like a finance analyst will not make more than the CEO of a Co.

Sanders raises a lot of good points and his arguments make sense. I agree with them. Someday maybe the owners will stop overpaying the QB position.

I can't even listen to him anymore. I guess only CBs should be getting the big contracts.
Maybe you should give it a listen then. Why on earth should Matt Ryan be making twice as much as Julio Jones when Julio is universally recognized as the better football player and why has no one else in the media called this out?

Very good points from Deion. The best players should make the most money.
That is stupid!! You never played QB. QB is the hardest position to play in football by far. An average QB should make as much money as anyone else on the team. The information a QB has to process in 1.5 seconds along with the skill set needed to play QB is not something very many people in the world can do, including Deon.

for once I think deion makes great points for a change. most quarterbacks do not deserve or even live up to the big contracts that they sign. majority leave there teams in salary cap trouble for atleast two to three years after their gone when they either quit or get released,
