Qb's make the most $ because they are the CEO of their teams be they good or bad they will always make the m

Now that is funny stuff, how the Hell does someone get a 37 day ban? Not 34 days or 26 days or 42 days but someone actually picked 37 as the # that would solve all of life's ills, would love to hear that one.

Have always liked Deion, some of his stuff is backed but who agrees with everyone 100% of the time. Was definitely probably the most talented player that I have ever seen since I have been watching football. Some of what he says regarding qb contracts makes sense, but at the end of the day a receiver is not going to make more than a qb just like a finance analyst will not make more than the CEO of a Co.

That is stupid!! You never played QB. QB is the hardest position to play in football by far. An average QB should make as much money as anyone else on the team. The information a QB has to process in 1.5 seconds along with the skill set needed to play QB is not something very many people in the world can do, including Deon.
Actually, I did play QB. Pay should be consummate with talent and what you’ve produced.

Maybe you should give it a listen then. Why on earth should Matt Ryan be making twice as much as Julio Jones when Julio is universally recognized as the better football player and why has no one else in the media called this out?
Your comparing addition and subtraction to algebra. Playing QB is way more difficult, than playing receiver. Have you ever played QB?

I cannot speak for anyone else but my personal experience with the man was a negative one. I was representing the radio station I worked at in Honolulu on media day for the 1993 Pro Bowl. I was tasked with recording the players saying something like "This is Daryl Johnston of the Dallas Cowboys. Hawaii's hottest music is on I-94". Every player I approached was cool about it and chatted with me a little. (My Daryl Johnston story is a good one. If any of you would like to hear it let me know) Anyway, the players were there to speak to us media guys so I did not feel like I was intruding on them or anything but that is not how Deion Sanders saw it, evidently. He was standing there talking with Andre Rison. They were the only two players at media day all decked out in multiple gold chains hanging around their necks. I asked him if he would be so kind as to give our station a sound bite and he said "Naw, man." I said "Excuse me?" to which he replied "I ain't tryin' to advertise your radio station." I thought this was douchey and I bade him farewell by saying "Ok. Well, you guys try not to get your chains all tangled when you hug up on each other."

Yes, I realize I was a jerk at the end but I was only 21 years old at the time. I would hope to act more mature now.

At any rate, yes, in my experience Deion was a D-Bag. Hopefully he has also matured with age.
Exactly he's a business man. Were you guys paying him for the sound bite he was giving? So your boss had you out there trying to get free advertising and a man smarter than your boss told you to get lost. Being older you should have realized it wasn't directed toward you personally.

I simply have no interest in his opinion. Maybe he's right about this subject, but I'm tired of all these guys wh

The ones who earn the most money are the ones most important to the team. I think the QB is more indispensable than a WR. The QB touches the ball on every snap, decides where the ball goes, calls out protection, often changes plays, and has much more responsibility. He ultimately gets the blame or credit for the outcome of the games and season. A WR runs routes, catches the ball, and sometimes blocks.

If anything, having the players say the call letters for a few days on our station was US advertising the Pro Bowl. If Deion had been somewhere BESIDES our station saying the call letters, then he would have been advertising our station for us. Since we were on our own air, we were trying to promote the players and the Pro Bowl. If anything, most of the players were relieved that I only wanted a little 5 second blurb instead of asking the same inane, boilerplate media questions they get asked over and over again.

QB’s get paid more because of a Capitalist philosophy known as supply and demand: There is a huge demand for NFL caliber QB’s and a very very small supply of them. This is not true for the lower paid positions.

He may be right on this point.

That being said I feel the obligation to point out that Deion is a huge d bag, and watching him speak can kill brain cells.
And a moron of the first order.

When asked what was wrong w/ the Falcons, he stated that it was because Matt Ryan makes more than Julio Jones. Huh? One of the stoooooopidest takes I've ever heard.

I've been leaning this way for years. Hopefully the League starts realizing that is the best course of action unless you land Andrew Luck.
Andrew Luck is worth big money, but not Brady, Rogers, Brees, etc.

QB’s get paid more than their teammates because of supply and demand. Football players get paid more than Teachers, Fire Fighters, and Police Officers because of supply and demand. May not seem fair, but that’s why QB’s make more $ than any other position.

Seriously, this is such a simple concept. Goes right over Deion's head, prolly due to his personal agenda.
Seems like it is going over many fan’s heads. Probably, because in colleges these days all they want to talk about is sharing the wealth/socialism, regardless if you have a special skill set and there is a high demand for it.

Referenced Luck due to age. Mahomes deserves a big contract too.

Unless the talent is a special talent, draft his replacement and move on. In Dallas, pay the best player (Zeke), the best position group (OL), the young defense and CooperCooper at WR. Franchise PrescottPrescott and then trade him.

A rookie with steak around him can do what Prescott, Tannehill, Brotles, Cousins can do.

Hes right about this
He's really not.

Deion is confusing talent level w/ importance of position. You can get be w/ mediocre Cb's. Several teams have won super bowls w/ just that. However, if you don't have a QB, you have nothing.

Sanders raises a lot of good points and his arguments make sense. I agree with them. Someday maybe the owners will stop overpaying the QB position.

Never happen.......way too much leadership and league value in the positions. Few things I think fans are forgetting or overlooking.

1. These players spend their first four years playing for pennies as a starter on rookie contracts.
2. The money they are now getting used to go to rookies under the OLD CBA. Remember when rookies use to the huge rookie deals w/o playing a single down of NFL ball? Everyone from A-Z has a problem with it coz only veterans should make that kind of money.
3. Since QBs are the face of the league, they are simply cashing in on huge escalating revenues.
4. The fact is, as a team, more times than not, you'll only go as far as your QB ( more than any other position) will take you.
