There used to be a few weekly threads on Carson Wentz, and now... nothing. What gives?

Oh, right. Because his 5-6 record (2nd losing season in 3 years) that the Wentz crowd tried blaming on his supporting cast looks like complete garbage compared to what NICK FOLES is doing. LOL!

Foles, the Super Bowl MVP, is 3-1 this season and just beat the Rams and Texans. With the same team that Wentz couldn’t crack .500 with.

Wentz isn’t clutch and his stats don’t translate to many wins. Philly was the absolute WORST scoring team in the 1st quarter this season... now add the fact that Wentz is hilariously un-clutch with the game on the line (3 for 11 on game-winning drives??) and there’s your 5-6 record.

Foles has completely exposed Wentz and I LOVE IT. What happened to the CowboysZone Wentz Wagon???

The Eagles (hopefully) will be stupid enough to let Foles walk and keep Wentz. We all saw Foles first stint away from the Eagles. He's a system QB and will not do well away from Philly...
Where did he go? Rams?

You mean when he was playing for the Ram's under Jeff Fisher. Fisher almost destroyed Foles and Keenum's careers and was in the process of destroying Goff's career before he was canned. I think we may have our own Jeff Fisher (Jason Garrett/Scott Linehan) on the coaching staff. I have no doubt in my mind that a Dak would thrive under a coach like Sean Payton and Romo probably would have had post season success under a coach like Sean Payton.

Wentz put up a 100 qb rating while injured this season. Hes a top 10 qb. Foles wasnt great in two of his 4 starts and his only good game was this past weekend Overreaction much

You guys realize wentz hasnt been healthy all year right?
That’s adorable. Philly also said Wentz has felt better than he has all year when they announced his injury.

He’s not on IR and they’re taking it week-to-week. Tony Romo played through MUCH worse.

Oh, but Wentz won’t actually play again this season (because Nick Foles has thoroughly outplayed him).

Coming off a very serious injury and now injured again with a broken vertabrae.....Before he injured his knee, he was arguably the leading MVP candidate, He's not going anywhere for a long time, we'll be cursing him and the eagles for years to come...

I guess we'll find out. But the Eagles have to be questioning whether he's durable enough...

If he stays healthy. He may be one of those guys who can't.

Going to say that I honestly don't believe that we would have swept the Iggles, if Foles was starting in both of those games, instead of Wince. And I don't believe that Wince would have beaten both the Rams and Texans, especially not yesterday when Foles drove them down for the game winning FG, after taking a hard hit. Wince maybe more talented on paper than Foles. But, there's just something about that Foles magic, that makes the Iggles rally around him in a way that they don't do with Wince.

And it has to sting Wince to see Foles come in, in the 2nd season in a row and be the savior for the Iggles and see the city of Philly treat Foles like a hero. Going to be even more difficult if Foles gets them into the playoffs, after their playoff chances looked over. Which was why Wince was pushing to play, because he can't stand seeing the back up QB take all of the glory and be rallied around by Iggles players and be treated like a hero by Philly fans. No matter how much of a team player he is. Deep down, Wince has to feel a little worried or threatened by his starting job, which is why Pederson had to reassure him.

When he comes back next season, he'll not only have to deal with physically getting back on track and recovering. But, he'll have to avoid letting the injuries he suffered the last two seasons, having a negative impact on how he mentally plays the game. And will have to follow in Foles foot steps, with pressure from Eagles fans that will turn on him the second he puts together a few bad games or loses games or misses the playoffs. Because you're going to have a section of Philly fans and media questioning if Philly made a mistake in releasing Foles and keeping Wince.

first off Foles didnt play well the first few weeks of the season..he gets lucky that he comes in when the team is desperate and for some reason the Defense starts playing well and then the offense takes off.. I frankly dont see Foles in a full 16 game seaon doing much better with the Ebs and flows given injuries and games where players make mistakes around them et etc.. weve seen Foles bounce around and not play to well when its all on him..Foles is playing well but saying Wentz is bad because of it id say it knee jerk reaction.. I for one dont care to talk much about other players so thats why I dont bring it up..

LOL so Foles wasn’t great in 2/4 games... but he was only good in 1/4 games? Does that make sense to you?

That’s terrific about Wentz. Too bad his amazing stats have translated to losing seasons in 2/3 years.

Probably because 1) Philly was the very worst 1st quarter scoring team in the NFL under Wentz, and 2) Wentz is as clutch as Scott Norwood from 41 yards out.

(Speaking of kickers, did I mention that 1 of Wentz’s 3 game-winning drives was thanks to a 61-yard FG?)

Does this mean, though, if we had a Nick Foles to replace Dak with that we'd also see a similar spike?

That's the question for me. I don't care anything about Wentz because he doesn't play for my team. I just care about what it takes to make my team better.

BTW, this doesn't necessarily mean I want Foles as the starting QB of this team. I think he's a streaky player. However, I am definitely open to the idea of seeing if another QB can increase the productivity of this offense. Maybe one can't and the problems are more about the play-calling and the offensive line. I just think it's ignorant not to consider the possibility.
