Yo ramziD. Because it’s the holidays and quite frankly I’ve liked some of your posts in the past, you deserve a straight answer and not a typically troll response. These are strictly my opinions

  • I do not believe that Dak is the worst qb in the league. In fact, I believe that he’s somewhere between 15-22 depending on what metrics you use.
  • I believe that if a team is soundly constructed with a strong defense, good Oline, that Dak could function as the qb. I don’t believe that he can put a team on his back, but I din5 think he’s so sorry that we will lose every game because of him
  • I believe that the coaches could be creative with the play calling but I’m also cognizant that he can’t make all the necessary throws or process the defense quickly, therefore I don’t know if the play calling is based on what his strengths are or athe result of a stubborn old man.
  • I don’t believe that we should mortgage our future paying Dak but I realize that he does deserve a pay raise.

See....we can all be reasonable.

I see that a primary issue is that Dak supporters don’t like discussing his 2018 stats without referencing his 2016 or 2017.

I can empathize. It’s kinda like pointing out all the flaws now but not giving any credit for how he did in the past in that specific area. So for example, a good point would be although Dak was top 5 in qbr in 2016, he is currently ranked 21st in 2018.

As always, I can appreciate you taking the time and expressing yourself in a professional and courteous manner, if we all could do this, the Mods would be out if jobs lol

I can appreciate your stance and although I might not agree with everything I can certainly see that you are a reasonable poster. Merry Xmas to you brother! And Go cowboys!

Yes, this thread was clearly made to start a professional and courteous debate about Dak. Very evident by the wording of your original post

Top 5 things used to deflect from Dak discussion.

  1. Bring up he was a 4th rd pick
  2. Quote ancient stats from 2016 or combine 2016,17, and 18 stats. There’s absolutely no discussing 2018 stats on its own
  3. Lower the standards or move the goal posts. Ie. 200 yds was a good passing day
  4. Use the word agenda or troll
  5. Insinuate some sort of devious or evil racial component - “ the real reason you don’t like him”

:dance::dance::dance::dance: I bring you the truth.

Preach brother...

Ok don’t take the olive branch. My OP was very courteous. No bad words, no calling out anyone. I liked it. But ok man do your thing.

Ok, I’ll take the olive branch. Dak is not elite, though he did play pretty close to that level in the past, so he must have it in him. I think he can be better if he had a better OC and not a QB coach who is a troll attempt by the owner. He’s not nearly as bad as his haters make him out to be. No one seems to have any good ideas about how we can replace him except to, you know, magically draft an elite QB in the 2nd round or later next year or, wait for it, I think someone mentioned Andy Dalton...Andy **’in Dalton! I’m more than willing to give Dak a chance next year with, hopefully, some new offensive coaching. We are going to have to pay some QB big money sometime in the next 15 months or so whether we like it or not and keeping Dak is going to be our best option. The FO needs to give him every chance to succeed, they have not been doing that thus far.

1. All teams draft elite, top 10 QBs in the 4th Round

2. You guys say he’s the worst starting QB in the league, so he’s beating all your expectations! Or at least proving you are idiots.
What round was Tom Brady drafted in?

Asking for a friend who thinks only good players come out of the first round and everyone else is allowed to be bad.

Brady is the exception not the rule. About 80% teams on average in the league has 1st and 2nd round QB’s starting in the NFL. So, it’s a great place to start normally.

So based on Daks draft status 3 years ago, I should temper expectations of wanting him to dominate?

Yaaaa, no.

Dak is a winner, great leader but not a Prolific Passing QB. It’s really not that difficult to evaluate. Not sure why everyone gets so fussy about it?

That’s about where Zeke is in TDs and YPC, right? Our offense is putrid.
