Pathetic Offense Last 2 Games. 6.5 PPG? Some sad facts

Come playoff time we will come alive. We have a Offense that can produce. And we will. But Linehan needs to call effective plays in the red zone. When your 1st and goal at the 3 then don’t call 3 pass plays. Call a sneak or a dive. Quick hitting run play. Stop being dumb.

Or a run from the shotgun. It drives me crazy every time.

Yeah the redzone problems seem to be consistent. Which is odd. It seemed like the redzone offense in 2016 in Zeke and Dak's rookie year was phenomenal. There's a disconnect somewhere. I'm not willing to just put it all on Linehan. Seems like a collective effort. The days of getting to the 3 or 4 yard line and getting a field goal are over. That's just not gonna cut it unless our defense is going to limit everyone to under 10 points.

I'll place the lion's share of blame on Linehan, but it's definitely not any one thing.

How sad is it to see the offense sucking, when the Cowboys finally have a good defense (currently #6 in the NFL)?

Against Tampa Bay, the Cowboys defense scored 7 points on the fumble return, and essentially scored another 7 with the Tampa turnover deep in the red zone. On its own, the Cowboys offense scored just 13 points- against one of the worst defenses in the league (Tampa defense ranked #24). Tampa's D gives up an average of 28.7 points per game.

The previous week, against a defense that gives up an average of 21.8 points per game, the Cowboys offense scored zero.

In the last 2 games, the Cowboys offense has essentially scored an average of 6.5 points per game.

The possible culprits (GM, coaches, players) have been discussed ad nauseam. Regardless, this offense is not inspiring confidence for a play-off run.

Nevertheless, enjoy these last 2+ games. It will be the off-season before you know it!

This last year and a half should be a lesson in just how important an Oline is to an offense.

Why are we only looking at 2 games?

because Dak had that monster game and Amari had back to back monster games and we all thought it had finally come together, we all thought they turned a corner. But not only did they regress, which is fine and to be expected, but the darn bottom fell out. The offense the last two games was putrid, embarassing and leaves you feeling like the games 3 and 4 weeks ago may have been the flukes. Thats why 2 games

Defenses are focusing on Amari now and Linehan has no idea how to get other WRs involved. I’ve seen defenses roll coverages towards Amari and doube him in the red zone. Cowboys & Dak need to figure it out quick because playoffs are around the corner.

The offense was pathetic in Carolina in week 1. Watching it live then, I’m really amazed now that we are going to the playoffs. Even with Cooper, it’s still atrocious. Even with the league’s leading rusher, it’s still bad.

The offense poses no threat of anything down the middle of the field. We all know that in order to win in the playoffs the offense must be much better and do things that it hasn’t done all year.

Thats kind of offense is a good way to get your team bounced out of the playoffs in the first round. Dak has the abilty to change the play call and check out of a passing play to a run and he never does inside the redzone. We have been watching this all year and I dont expect anything to change. If Dak has less than 200 yards passing and Zeke has his 100 yds rushing and Dallas only scores 10 points and loses to Seattle I would get rid of Linehan and start looking for true franchise QB.

It's ridiculous and unrealistic. One, the Colts are a very good team and hard to beat at their home. Second, the offense put up 20 points and we won vs. Tampa.

Dallas has basically scored touchdowns in only 2 of the past 15 quarters. I'm not giving them credit for a 3-yard drive.

The offense has sucked all year outside of a couple games.

when you use an incredible small sample size, your point makes no sense. Our offense isnt all that great..... period. Look at the entire season and take out the high and the low.... the Jags and colts game, not use the remaining games to make your point.

When the dust settles and the game is decided, it's all about who scored the most points. Not yards, not big plays, not turnovers. Points. And touchdowns and extra points are worth 7, and field goals are worth 3. And failing to score = 0.

This has been this team's biggest issue all season, and it actually goes back to include last year. And none of the coaches charged with this offense has been able to find answers in all that time.

I think this is the biggest obstacle for this offense yet it really shouldn't be. To me it just looks like we get away from our strength on offense once we get down into the redzone area, as a top rushing team and a mobile QB I think this team should be fairing better. I put some on the lack of execution at time and penalties and much on the coaches for not playing to the strength of the offense.
