Some say Dak is elite and Saturday will be his chance to show they are correct

It’s almost as if some want Dak to fail. I just don’t get it. Rooting for Dak to fail is rooting for Dallas to fail and in doing so, you have to question, how much of a fan are you? Truly?
It's counterbalancing and a loop that never ends. You've got guys who say Dak is elite (he isn't) and guys who think he is a backup (he isn't) and so those guys go back and forth over and over trying to counter the extreme view. It's basically American politics.

I don't think people want to see Dak fail. It's just that some look at his blemishes and correctly see someone who should not be an NFL QB (they are right) and some look at his strengths and say he is an elite QB (they are also right). It's just when you combine them all together that we get Dak, who is inconsistent and the offense follows that inconsistency.

It's up to us moderates to bring things back to the center. If we list Dak's characteristics as a QB he has some elite qualities and some qualities that get guys washed out of the league entirely. IMO Dak has been chipping away at those weaknesses -- he is throwing to the sideline more in the intermediate 10-20 yard range and now with Cooper it looks like defenses have finally been thrown out of clogging the middle of the field (that's huge).

In my opinion there is only 1 stat we need to look at -- 3rd and 8+ yards. We have been near the bottom of the league every year Dak has started. Even his record breaking rookie year we were only 19th. Next season if are just in the top half of the league on that stat then I'll say Dak has worked out enough of his weaknesses to be a consistent NFL QB.

This is the perfect scenario.

We're about to find out what we need to know about Dak, Garrett, Linehan, and Richard in these playoffs.
If we go far in the playoff and knowing Dak, it is up to the coaching staff to borough a page from Kansas City and use deception to make the best use of talent.

Everyone knows, SEA will put up a 8-9 man front to stop EzE. Dak just showed he can ball out, especially at home.

I don't think Dak is an elite QB but he's not trash either. He's an improving 3rd year QB that Dallas can win with. I like the fact that he was drafted by Dallas and not a hired gun like Peyton Manning and others. How often does a FA QB come along like Manning and how often does it work? Then there's the draft...what would it have taken to get Mayfield or Darnold last year?
We wouldn't have Cooper, LVE, Gallup and some 2019 picks.

I like that this is a young drafted team that's on the rise and that includes Dak.

Let's hope so? And in the end that's what it's all about being successful is what each and every Cowboy fan wants, now there are people on here who just wanted to cut bait with him who are done with him the haters I got you calling I have criticized him a lot and I mean a lot I've been called a hater which is not ! I've already addressed that it's many years since I've been a fan I've earned that right to criticize him but let's hope it is The Rebirth of Dak Prescott because we need it

..confirmation bias, as usual. Dak played a great game yesterday. Elite..?? lol... 3 yrs under his belt, ... Elite!.. Ratings talk. Dak is bettter than good QB, with great attitude and skills to get better. I dont care about elite word, I'd rather use Great.

The stats only tell half of the story my man, it's about the eye test for some, and Dak has Elite skills at WINNING especially in clutch situations, he's won the NFC east twice in three years under the helm. He swept the defending champions and has put the cowboys in position to make the postseason EVERY year he's been here even when his buddy was suspended for half the season last year. You want stats ?!? Well here's the STAT he's 31-16 as a starter that's better than the beloved Romo who's so glorified on these boards, yet he doesn't miss games he's durable the kid is a baller, of course he misses throws, EVERY QB misses throws badly. The way he bounces back after the missed easy throws is the grit and fight we need and Imo Dak will take us.

Like i said....NO ONE except some Dallas fans are calling Dak an elite quarterback....

Hes just not, numbers dont lie

We can win without one though, he just needs to be average and let Zeke and the defense win it

Dak faces one of three Dak killer defenses this Saturday. If he follows his normal MO he will hold on to the ball too long and fumble. His accuracy is inconsistent making for turn overs. He will be sacked a dozen times and may not make it through the game. If he does not follow his MO then we have a chance to win until we meet the Bears who have the second Dak killer defense.
I don’t think anyone has called Dak elite.

If we lose— the Dak haters and trolls will be on parade.

If we win— other parties will receive all the credit: Zeke, the D, Cooper etc...we would have won despite having a “bus driver” at QB
So you're a Dak fanboy I take it? How many games would you say it was mainly Dak that carried the team and not those other players/group you mentioned?

Aside from a few overzealous homers, no one is saying Dak is elite.

Funny how you went out of your way to see the negative.

I would not put Dak it the rarified air of the Elite. Dak is a young QB still working and learning, To me an elite QB is never based on a single season it is based on several season playing at a top level.

Your opinion is trash....to say Dak doesn't belong in a league that once employed Brandon Weedon....Man go to sleep.

Yeah if we lose and Dak was the weak link he will hear it deservedly, if we win and he was behind the win I’m all for dropping praise on him as I did yesterday faults and all.
The Dak fan boy commission makes things soo binary. Most folks give him credit when he plays good but they only hear/see the negative because that's all their minds are looking for. Also if they didn't have the "haters" to argue online with to defend Daks honor what would they do with themselves?

It all depends on how Dak plays. It not about a win or lose.

You'll find a way to discount it. Just like when you said they were 1-4 against winning teams. Denigrating the team is your only purpose here, even if you have to lie to get there.
