I really hate that this info could be a distraction for the team and wish the league wouldnt allow it to leak out until at team is eliminated.

I really think it's a form of tampering. It should be banned. I don't care what teams it involves. It's a shady practice and an unneeded distraction.

Richard has been a D-Coordinator before though, and in fact is just a year removed from it, so even though he would be going from a position coach to HC, he has been higher up the food chain before. Plus, the Cowboys defense made a big jump this year with him as a big part of the leadership, and the guy making many or most of the defensive calls, and teams often tend to jump on the hot commodity.

This is a terrible thing if this is what the NFL allows. So if we win Saturday, instead of getting his defense ready for an opponent in the divisional round he'll be flying all over the country for interviews with other teams?

Same thing goes on in college. Guys that are coordinators for some of these teams in the national championship already have a HC job at another team and some don't even coordinate in that big game.

Maybe you feel that his impact is minimal, but I don't. The other defensive coaches are what we had last year, so yeah you go ahead and roll with them and see what happens. It's not drama to not show up for work on the most important week of the season. And I really could give a rats bleep about what other teams coaches are doing.

It’s not like he will miss the entire week probably do interviews on Sunday an off day. He will be there for practice game plan and to put in the game plan. Y’all are acting like this has never happened before when it happens all the time. It will not be the reason the Cowboys win or lose.

We'll see how it plays out. He won't be able to do all 3 interviews in one day.
