Buccaneers to interview Kris Richard

He is as good as gone. The nfl just lost a bunch of minority coaches.:He may or may not be qualified, but the optics are better if he gets hired.

Thing is, if we want him badly enough we keep him. Because Jerruh'll just pay him fat to stay.

He may not want to be HC

If he is interviewing, it is highly likely he wants to be a HC...of course there is the remote possibility that he just wants to get experience at interviewing but th at is unlikely.

Or.

He could just want to build his value, so Jerry will pay him.

Most pro HCs don't do it for the money, they do it because they believe they have what it takes to build/ coach a team to a SB win... something only 31 coaches have done in the SB era... that is elite company.

Enough money could keep anyone in Dallas, as the defensive coordinator..

Plus, remember Jason Garrett got an offer from Baltimore to be their HC, but stayed in the Big D because Jerry promised him a gig in the future.

And, so here he is, coaching and clapping for the Cowboys, over a decade later.

He could very well do the same thing with Richard as he did with Garrett, and just promise him a gig sometime in the future on top of paying him fat now.

But that's up to Jerry, and how bad they want to keep him.

Then why did he interview for HC jobs in the past and why is meeting with 3 teams next week that we know of? Yes Jerry could pay him but he still would answer to JG. How do you know his passion won’t be in it. You obviously don’t know much about these guys egos they think they can be the one to improve the situation to turn it around cause they believe they are better than the last guy. He seems to be a very fiery passionate guy I have to believe if he gets a HC job no matter where it is that passion will carry over.

Point is Richard will turn down the opportunities and build his legacy here.

I'm wondering when Linehan is gonna get that call... Guess no one's interested. Pay attention Jerry, if people don't want your people, they suck.

I hear some Dallas fans saying losing Richard wouldn’t be that bad, that he’s not that great, but I’m not so sure. The Jets, Dolphins, and now Bucs want to interview him, and there’s probably more.

Besides the bad officiating, rule changes, over abundance of subjective penalties, and plethora of overpaid divas, next on my list is the constant turnover. Anytime we get someone good, whether it’s a player or a coach, teams are always trying to pry them away. I miss the old days, BEFORE people were always getting fired or traded or cut or whatever...IT SUCKS!

In other news Jason Garrett wonders if anyone might be interested in him next year.

Lol, well I wasnt taking that angle but yes they do hate Jerry.

More so why do they allow this to happen at all, to any playoff team??

The favored NFL teams will get the best coaches...It's called NFL parity and screw Jerry.

That depends. Are they going to create a Harlem Globetrotters of football? Garrett can coach their opponent, the football version of the Washington Generals. That clapping could really come in handy there.

Thanks for the lesson. IDK why but in my mind he had always been a position coach in Seattle as well.Next time i will try to know what i'm talking about before opening my mouth :D

He probably did focus a little of his time on the DBs in Seattle, just as Marinelli puts a little of his focus on the D-Line in Dallas.
