Only with ZEKE, DAL OL, Cooper and Beasley. How would DAK perform in GB or any place other without the above. Not as well. DAK deserves 20/32 QB rankings, not 1/32 QB rankings until its earned
Why is Dak the only QB that gets negative comments because of his teammates.

Rodgers has a great group of receivers and at times had the best pass blocking OL.

Brady has had Gronk and Moss plus one of the greatest coaches ever.

Mahomes has a ton of weapons

Brees has 2 elite RBs and Thomas

Ben has had great receivers his whole career and one of the better backs in the league.

Stop with this Dak has weapons crap. At the start of the season Dak has the worst offensive skill positions in the league.

it seems the front office knows Dak will be a hot commodity given his rapid development.

Since the Amari cooper trade Dak has a higher passer rating in his last 8 games than Drew Brees. His stats Projected over a 16 game season would have been 28 TDs 6INTs 110 passer rating

They know if they don’t sign him this offseason, far too many teams will back up the brinks truck for a 26 year old with a career passer rating higher than Tom Brady.

Dak is ours for the next 3 years, if we want him. He's got a year left on his rookie contract and we can franchise him twice.

It's pretty clear now that Dallas grossly over rated the weapons around Dak going into this season. Besides Zeke, who was there? Then Austin gets hurt. Then the offensive line starts to have issues. Tell me what QB thrives under these conditions? How do you think Big (I can't beat the Oakland Raiders) Ben would do? I think he'd throw about 65 picks because that's what he does under pressure.

Now that Cooper's here things are slowly improving. Gallup seems to be improving and Jarwin is starting to find openings in the middle. Beasley is starting to be targeted more. Not because he's playing better, but the entire team is. It's a work in progress from where this team began to where they are now, and the offense is only getting better from here. At least that's my opinion. They haven't peaked. Four touchdown passes and 387 yards can't be ignored. And he missed Cooper twice deep or he'd be closing in on 500.

I'd pump the brakes on teams backing up a brinks truck for Dak, but I'm starting to see some flashes of '16 when he was calmly distributing the ball to open WRs. Keep in mind our O-Line played much better in '16.

Wait, you mean he isn't absolutely terrible? In all seriousness, I think that your point is right, and well done to Dak.

This thread pretty much proves that Dak has people here on his payroll....lunacy talk for a below average QB....

Or, it's completely logical to realise that there are lots of teams who need a QB, and Dak would be someone they'd want. For example, he's been brilliant against our NFC East rivals overall. I can think of a lot of teams that would like to have a QB who can typically beat his division rivals.

The only reason to sign Dak now is because it will be at the value of today's market vs. having to pay in an increased market or deal with the franchise tag. This presupposes his level of play progresses to match his contract so it will eventually become a bargain or it will take at least a few years to find another QB to take his place.

We knew that back in May. Not sure how the cowboys managed to fool themselves. I said many times on here that this was among the worst wr cores Dallas has ever put on the field to start a season. Thank god the morons in Oakland bailed us out.

I think that this is quite reasonable. Firstly, I think that the quarterbacks in this year's draft class are ghastly overall. Not that we'd be able to get the top ones this year. Next year we have a chance, but it may be a bit harder to get one if needed, so they probably think that it's going to be very difficult to draft a better QB than Dak for the next few years, and I would agree.

...............without giving up a ton of draft capitol. I think KC traded 3 first round picks to move up for Mahomes.

Something like that, and we certainly don't plan on tanking next year. If anything, it looked to me like this was going to be a tank year until they got Cooper. So, we clearly realise how hard it is going to be to get a new QB. Something that some people on this board don't understand.

Yet there are still mindless morons that call him Quincy Carter. Carter and Brady were always being compared.....

So let me get this straight...those of you that again don't think he's worthy of 25M. Give me a name of a QB that in 2 of the past 3 years has won his division and the year he didn't win it missed the playoffs by 1 game with his All pro RB missing 6 games. Is seemingly clutch in the 4th quarter and still improving. For 3 years the Cowboys have paid him a rookie salary and you think that type of production will not be rewarded. Do you really think there's some Patrick Mahomes type available in every Draft? Some of you really need to stop drinking...Dak will get his money and I'd rather have him here with Zeke for a few more years.

Not going to get into this exact same debate...but I would like to put out a PSA.

STOP USING QB RATING. It was a stat designed to measure qbs in the 70’s, it’s not a valid form of indentifying good qb play in the year 2019.

QB contracts are with pass rushing DE/OLBs in terms of inflation.

They skyrocket each year, even if you are still stuck in the "there's potential" mode.
It would make sense to lock him up this offseason if you were convinced that he was the one to lead the team longterm at QB.

What seems outrageous one year in terms of pay looks reasonable the following year with the next batch of UFA QBs.
