You don’t rank towards the bottom in defense and then give defense credit for them being 13-3.

Dallas is good because of our defense and run game.

The Rams are good because of their offense.

They are a good team but Dallas will not participate in the style of football they want to play.

We will run the ball with Zeke and play high level defense when they do have the ball.

Well, I hope you are right.

Well, I hope you are right.

Our problem is firepower and not putting teams away. Chunk plays are hard for us to come by.

It’s like we have to put together long methodical drives.

The Rams will be in it all game unless they just completely cant stop our run game which wouldn’t surprise me.

We grind teams down. If we can shut down their run game like we did SEA, we win this game. We can make them look average.

Funny how we scored the most points in the playoffs last week, but we can't score more than 21 against the lambs?????

Yeah, I liked this stat last weekend, but I'm thinking 24 won't be the most points scored this weekend.

I'll say what I've said for many years: Give me 28 points in any game and I'll take my chances. That wins the vast majority of games in the NFL.

Seems to me we got the Winning QB...

Dak Prescott has led the NFL in these three impressive QB stats since 2016

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys will face the Rams in a highly anticipated divisional playoff game Saturday night in Los Angeles.

And they’ll be rolling into town with a bunch of confidence, led by their QB, Dak Prescott, who leads the league in these three impressive stats since 2016:

NFL Research

✔@NFLResearch

Dak Prescott Since 2016, including playoffs

• 15 game-winning drives (Most in NFL)

• 13 primetime QB wins (Most in NFL)

• 19 rush TD (Most in NFL by QB)#DallasCowboys @dak

It helps that the Cowboys play a lot of primetime games but Prescott has still had to put up big numbers to help his team win, including last Saturday when his TD run late in the fourth quarter was the difference in Dallas’ win over the Seahawks.

Prescott and the Cowboys’ offense will likely need to put up points Saturday night because Jared Goff and the Rams have scored 30 or more points 12 times this season.

Well, been following this thread going on two days now. To tell the truth, I'm kinda in the same place I was when I started. So.... are we packing up our Khakis or are we unpacking them?

I just spoke to an odds maker and he advised me "Dallas is getting slaughtered." I'm trying to wonder "what do these people know that we don't know?"

"The Rams have yet to win a postseason game under coach Sean McVay's leadership, but based on the opening betting lines from Las Vegas that could be about to change. The opening betting line had the gave the Rams a seven-point spread with an over/under of 49 points, while SportsLine had the home team coming away with a 30-21 win."

Tell your bookie that after another week like Vegas had last week he might need to find another line of work. Vegas Books were "slaughtered"

an "odds maker"?

the opening line is set based on recent points differentials and then tested in non-NFL markets like Salt Lake or Richmond (in a matter of hours) before major books announce the line. from there the line just looks to keep equal money on both sides of the bet - the line represents public sentiment

bookies get paid to be bookkeepers and make sure everyone get's their money

"odds makers" are people like Jimmy the Greek who pretend to have inside info - what they know that most don't is how to market a shifty opinion - the idea there is some insiders out there with the scoop is myth

real "odds" - are there's a 99% you're being conned

????

In Vegas, point spreads are set in one of two ways:

- An in-house odds maker sets the spread
- A sports book subscribes to a service and posts based on their report.

Ceaser's, for example, sets their own spread. Station Casinos used to buy the spread. No idea if they still do.

I still dont understand sports betting much. The wife and I usually just do kentucky derby. The money making conversion seems much more straightforward with horse racing.

How much would i win if I put $100 on the 'boys right now? and i dont need any doubters saying zero haha!

If you just placed the bet and didn't take the points, then $260.

Taking the points, you'd bet $110 to win $100.

yeah, I talked to my guy too. He told me the forecast was for pain, Rayne with no Geoff Swaim and take the Boys to beat the spread plus pound the "f" out of Goff ;), I said "really"! He said yeah "Goff has a coff and is yet to get off". I assume he meant in the playoffs

The most money I ever won on a sporting event was the 1st Ali-Spinks fight in New Orleans and it was a SUBSTANTIAL amount. Odds makers were against me to a full-tilt boogie. I took a really close look at both fighters in that time frame; where they were, how they regarded each other and what they'd done recently to be in their current positions. I plunked down some $$ on Leon, the kid who was given absolutely NO chance. We all know what happened - the kid shocked the world.

I did this because the odds were crazy and there's one very important, perhaps the most critical element, that Vegas cannot lay odds on ...

Desire and Heart.

If Dallas shows up Saturday night with both, they will win.

Exactly, that's why I wanted to know "was there inside information?" I don't see the game going that way.

I have to ask, how hard is it to go through life being negative about everything?
I don't think he's as negative in life as he is in here, as dumb in life as he seems in here and I know he's not as smart in life as he thinks he is in here. I think it's all for attention from his groupies and likes.
