We very well may.

Yep, it could get ugly, fast. If the Guards don't control Donald, if McVay's first quarter script lights up Marinelli's vanilla defenses, if Goff gets off to a "hot" start, the Cowboys could be down and down a lot by halftime...and then Dak will have to bail us out with a flurry of passes in the 2nd half.

The good news, this is just a possibility.

Here's what I know...the Cowboys could get blown out, but they ain't blowing out the Rams...because the Cowboys rarely blow out anyone because of how their coached, especially with a lead. Cowboys could be dominating statistically, but let teams hang around...it's so sad.

We always play better as dogs or slim favorites. I'm ok with this. This team has a tendency to get complacent with success.

This could legitimately be a blow out both ways, but I think it comes down to the fourth quarter again.

They also play a much weaker schedule. They lost to New Orleans, we throttled Seattle. We are getting better as we go. The Rams are regressing some.

I like our chances. Wish I could bet the Cowboys without the points straight up.
You actually can. It’s called the money line and if you bet it you get better odds.

What are the credentials for this odds maker? Maybe provide us with a bit of recent history?

You know Goff threw more interceptions and fumbled just as much as Dak, right? You know he personally accounted for only 6 more TDs than Dak did in an offense that is supposed to be the football version of a Tesla while we are running a Ford Escort?

The Seahawks ran at will on the Rams defense and Wilson threw 6 or 7 TD passes in the two games without an interception.

I am not saying we win the game. I am saying the people that think we have no chance are probably the ones that wrote us off at 3-5, that said we couldn't beat the Eagles twice, said the Saints would blow us out and that said Seattle was gonna come into town and make us one and done.
Right. Let the doubters doubt and the haters hate.

this so much. I'm having as much fun as I've had in years. In 2007, 2009 and 2014 I had deep expectations. In 2016 I had belief, though it was blind faith and I know about the defense.

This season, my expectations are already exceeded, I'm just enjoying it. The only thing that could ruin it would be a close loss rested at the feet of a bad coaching decision or ref interference.

Why would you have deep expectations in 2009? That team just caught fire the last 3 weeks and beat the only team they could have in the Eagles wild card round. Vikings were light years ahead of us that year.

I don’t get how they are coming up with the Rams being favored by 7.

The matchups favor us enough that even if you really liked the Rams I would think it would be no more then 3.5.

If we show up and run all over them then they don’t have a very good chance of beating us.

Also, how can they trust Goff against our pass rush?

They only care about bets. They don't care who is better or about any matchups. They don't care who wins. They want the same amount of money placed on both teams and will move the line accordingly.

I used this example the last time this came up and i'll use it again. Back in 2015 I think it was. The 3-7 Cowboys were favored against the 10-0 Panthers on Thanksgiving day. Clearly they knew what team was better. Clearly they didn't care.

So basically this, right?
Well, last year the odds for the Rams vs Falcons was
  • Atlanta Falcons at Los Angeles Rams (-6.5) | O/U: 48
Falcons won 26-13

Not saying the Cowboys cannot be blown out, but I honestly could not care less about the betting line (well I don't bet on games anyways, but still). The games are played ON THE FIELD for a reason.
I didn't have time to ask the guy what does he see that dictates us being beaten by double digits?

The greatest oddsmakers/bettors alive cannot pick over 60% correctly for an extended period of time. This guys opinion means nothing.
I'm feeling the same. I'm sure we were supposed to get slaughtered by NO too

They don't trust Dak against the Rams pass rush. Just saying.

That team was all smoke and mirrors. This team is not at all. We can very easily lose but we aren't getting dominated to that degree. We had zero chance to win that game. Not one area of our team was better than any area of theirs. Vikings and Saints were light years ahead of any other NFC team that season.

I just hope we come out and play our game. If we do, we'll be fine.

I just spoke to an odds maker and he advised me "Dallas is getting slaughtered." I'm trying to wonder "what do these people know that we don't know?"

"The Rams have yet to win a postseason game under coach Sean McVay's leadership, but based on the opening betting lines from Las Vegas that could be about to change. The opening betting line had the gave the Rams a seven-point spread with an over/under of 49 points, while SportsLine had the home team coming away with a 30-21 win."
Yawn......I like green chilies.......they don't like me.
