I agree with you 100%...………...but you and I both know Jason Garrett aint going nowhere.
It worked to a degree, now he just struggles with being a HC...JG struggled with being a HC and play calling for the O. I was happy when he was relieved of his play calling duties.
This game was definitely not on Dak. He made some mistakes, but receivers dropped a couple of very catchable balls. It's also not his fault the running game was pathetic, and sure as Hell wasn't his fault the defense let the Rams run for about 5000 yards. So when the Cowboys win Dak has nothing to do with it???
To you, it's automatically Dak's fault no matter what. I agree with you that Dak did not play a good game, but there was a whole lot more wrong with this game than Dak. For one thing, Garrett does not allow the offense to play to Dak's strengths. Dak is a running QB and Garrett won't let him run!
If you don't want your QB to run, don't draft a running QB! DUHH Garrett! You want somebody to blame, blame Garrett for not allowing Dak to do what he does best. That's not on Dak, it's on Garrett!
I still think Romo is the reason Jerry yanked playcalling from Garrett. Romo probably did complain about Garrett. Jerry wouldn't fire him, but he could compromise and hire a new OC to call plays.
That's about the only reason I can think of for Jerry doing that. We know JG didn't want to give up playcalling on his own..
Only in your mind man.It may be tired but it’s dead on!
Totally agree. Plus Garrett knew a new rookie QB would buy him a few more years of leeway. It all started with the new contract. I’m
Pretty sure Romo made some demands, thus the “Peyton Manning” type responsibilities. Even Wade Wilson said that Romo would start implementing his concepts and Garrett had to spin this move as ‘making sense’.
That’s why I think they stuck with Dak, because Garrett could finally get rid of Romo, the guy that was stepping away his influence. I believe Garrett perceived of Romo as a threat.
Keep drinking the koolaid!Only in your mind man.
Yeah he knew he could play the "young" excuse for a few more years.Totally agree. Plus Garrett knew a new rookie QB would buy him a few more years of leeway.
Wait til they pick him up off the carpet and get some coffee in him.Did anyone hear Jerry give Garrett a vote of confidence after the game? Did he talk at all? If not, maybe that's a good sign. Usually the first thing he does after a lost season is proclaim his faith in Garrett.

Jerry left the stadium without talking with the media...…………..dont worry, by tomorrow he will be professing how great Clappy is 2 Wildcard wins over a decade on the job...………...what more could a fan base ask for

He was outplayed by a clearly superior quarterback. This game was definitely not on Dak. He made some mistakes, but receivers dropped a couple of very catchable balls.
