Tank is good but I'm not sure he is $20 M per year good. I would flip him for a first and change (4th) if I could get it, save the cap space and continue to draft well.

It might be prudent to trade back slightly with that 1st and get more bodies. Just a thought.

Man tough call. Talk about taking a QBs soul and then pulling a noShow of a performance...
Leaves a bad taste when he’s gonna ask for 15-17 mil per year. I suspect we will sign him but he seemed to fade big time end of the season.

Doubtful anyone would give up a first for him. I do agree he isn’t worth 20 because he’s not elite but they should definitely give him a “very good” offer. ~15 per year IMO.

Do not pay this man, he was a bust this year. And last night he was no where to be seen

He was not a bust this year. Your just looking at sack numbers but hes easily a top 5 pressure de and plays the run really well. He is constantly dou le teamed and if we had another stud on the other side we would be set.

If you want to ruin the defense the dont sign tank.

He got zero pressure last night. None.

You don't pay top dollar for a guy who can get no pressure at all when you need it most.

He has faded every year at around game 10.
This is the problem. He want huge down the stretch, and obviously was trash yesterday. We needed someone to spark the defense and wake them up. You pay the guy that can do that. Tank isn't that guy.

I'd offer him 13-15 ish, but sometime else will break the bank. I agree with those who say it may be hard to find someone as good, but overallocation will keep us from other needs too. Tough call.

Thank goodness some of the idiots on here don’t run this team.

Wait, isn't Lawrence currently on a franchise tag? Are you suggesting tagging him again and then trading him?

Lawrence is one of the top DEs in the league. Don't take my word for it, look at how DCs around the league play him. Constant double and triple teams. Lawrence is a great player and is worth top $$ for a DE. If the Cowboys do not sign him someone else will and give him the money he wants. The Jets and Colts have huge cap space and both of those teams will make a run at Lawrence if the Cowboys don't sign him. He is worth what the market will pay.

The problem with Lawrence in Dallas is that there is no one else on the DL who takes pressure off Lawrence.
