Marinelli's scheme seems to be a liability in certain situations, like when facing a really good OL that has a coaching staff who can break down tape and find tendencies to use against its opponent.

I believe the lack of girth in the middle is creating a need to buy leverage and it is showing up on tape according to the OL of the Rams. Need a big nasty in at the 1Tech to just disrupt, collapse and create a pile of humanity in the middle.

When everything was going great on the DL everyone praised Kris.....now it's Rods fault?

I think they both share blame. How can Kristen Richards sleep knowing he went on 3 interviews Last Sunday instead of watching 10 hours of film on the Rams offense?

I think coaches share the blame but so do the players, they played piss poor and got their butts handed to them. front 7 did a poor job including Jaylon and LEV.

adjective
  1. having or showing dogged determination not to change one's attitude or position on something, especially in spite of good arguments or reasons to do so.
"a stubborn refusal to learn from experience"

Hopefully this was the last game Marinelli will ever coach for us.

It was NOT fun watching our 4-2-5 nickel defense get steam rolled by the Rams.

What an embarrassing performance by our DC.

Wow, so all year long Richard gets the credit for the defense, but after a playoff loss where the defense let us down it's all on Rod now? Lmao.

If we lose Rod it would be a huge negative for this team.

Yep
Not sure anyone in the front 7 made a play all night
We had a bad plan, and bad execution
Look at the saints game and we had a tremendous plan and execution
But I get the feeling we actually planned for them to sling it around all night, not pound it down our throats
I’d to hear our defensive meetings coming into this game and see just what they expected

Rams did not even need to throw the ball much, Goff had 186 passing while the running game was chewing up the Cowboys. DL had done a great job this year at stopping the run but Sat. Night they got their butts handed to them and while blaming Rod or other coaches seems to make some feel good the fact is the players share a big portion of this loss

The players got their tails kicked all night
One of the nfl best offensive minds out schemed our coaches
They beat us physically and they out smarted us

I don't feel there was much in terms of scheming, hell they ran the ball down our throats all night long. Nothing tricky just smash mouth football. They did not have to rely on the passing game they gave us a steady dose of run and Dallas could not stop it. CJ Anderson especially, dude is built like a bowling ball and was churning out the yards. I guess it is smart to say you can't stop the run and we will continue to run until you prove we can't

Negative. You cant give Kris all the credit when things go right and then when they go wrong you try to share the blame.
they arent both equally responsible? lmao bro, they both are paid as DCs are they not? they both game planned and both wore headsets on t sideline where they were witnessing the defenders being used like bowling pins, rag doll look didnt go to well, yet only one is responsible? this staFF GOT UNDUE CREDIT ALL YEAR FOR BEING GREAT DEFENSE..THEY WERE GOOD AT TIMES THEY STEPPED UP ABOVE THEIR SKILL LEVEL WITH MAX EFFORT, HOWEVER I SAW BIG CHUNK PLAYS ALL YEAR LATE IN HALVES AND LATE IN GAMES THAT CAUSED CLOSE GAMES..BYRON KONES IS NOT A PRO BOWLER, WHY DID HE LOOK GOOD EARLY, BECAUSE AWUZIE AND WOODS WERE EASIER TO TARGET BUT ONCE TEAMS SAW IF YOU THREW DEEP OFTEN and LOOKED LIKE THE OLD BJ..HES NOT BAD BUT NO WAY HES not pb IN MY MIND..WE HAVE YOUNG SOLID DEFENSE THAT WERE EXPOSED PERIOD..thy are all to blame, this time like usual it wasnt our QB that blew a playoff game..the defense failed period, end of story..

It's time for the Cowboys to sit Marinelli down, thank him for the nicknames and part ways.

Why is it Richard gets all the credit and is allegedly calling plays when our defense steps up but it’s Marinelli when they fail?

This is an ongoing excuse for multiple aspects of the Cowboys. Jerry is a genius for taking risks in the draft but it’s really Will but it’s really JG...all depending on how the players work out. Romo was the true “genius” behind the offense when they won but it was all JG when they lost. Zeke is a great RB but when he doesn’t get over a 100 yards it’s the O lines fault.

A lot of people throwing stones and they have no idea what they’re aiming at.

They love there "Scapegoats" here....Richards is one of there Golden child's and of course if our defense has a off day its Fire Marinelli all the way .......etc etc etc....

I disagree 100% here Risen. What has he been given to work with the past 5 years?
Not much came from the draft as all we do is spend picks for off lineman!!!
He has made the best with the limited talent he has been given only to have the team fall on its face due to lack of scoring when the defense simply cant play lights out defense weekly!
Get Marinelli a STUD DT from the fa pool and STOP drafting OFF-lineman with our top picks!
Taco was the latest high pick and he's a bust!
Collins is average at best.
Gregory is well Gregory......
D-Law is by himself and doubled....
Heath is our starting SS
Jaylon and LV are still very young....

STOP DRAFTING OFF-LINEMAN JEEZ....cant everyone see what a great defensive LINE can do ....just ask the Eagles and the Rams.....

3 of the last 4 first round picks have been on defensive players. We haven't drafted an OL in the first round since 2014.

Time to turn the page. Let Richard run the defense.
