problem is risen, NFL QB'S don't grow on trees and this years draft is woeful. Dak is what we have..so lets stop beatin a dead horse. He can get us there,we know that. Can he get us further? With good coaching he can.

Nick Foles should be a Cowboy next year.

If that big headed freak RB doesn't like it, he can go too. We've got Rod Smith.

Lets see... What OC would want to come to a team where even if you fail you get job security?
A team with Zeke, Dak, Cooper, Gallup, and 3 perennial pro bowl players on the offensive line.

Many of them.

But we like our guys I guess.

Horrible.
I get your reasoning. That's why I said in some peoples minds because he could potentially only be here for one year if the team has a bad season next year.

Yes but he could also be in consideration to be the head coach too if he performs.

Given that 2019 is the "odd" year, if we follow the pattern we will not make the playoffs. I am sure the offense will continue to implode, so maybe we get a mid-year firing of these clowns after Garrett gets a huge raise. That would be the way it works. We fire the guy and Jerry has to pay him for years to come.

I honestly feel it’s 50/50 at this point, no matter what they say. Mainly because if they are moving on, garrett doesn’t want to make linehan look bad.

But if he is coming back, that’s that offense against a first place schedule. Not pretty.

You can only hope this is a canned response early in the offseason. I mean, I wouldn't exactly expect him throw Linehan under the bus when asked the question.

There has been too much media noise this season for them not to be aware of the problems. Hopefully the actual plan becomes clear in the coming months.

Any other team and all 3 would be fired, Jerry simply doesn't care anymore.

Stop doing this to all my threads.

I really hope this team goes another way with this. Having SL back would be just nerverecking. If SL does come back he needs to bring more to the table than his stiff approach.

Saying he expects Linehan back could just be a way of allowing Linehan the appearance of leaving on his terms. On the other hand, maybe he doesn't want Dak to learn a new system because next year is Garrett's prove it year.

Then what was this year?

My question is did any team contact the cowboys to interview SL as a head coach or any other job offer?

Why would Dallas want to retain him if the answer is no?

I hope this front office gets destroyed in the media for this move. I think the news of this just frustrated me more than the Rams loss.
:banghead:

So much for Jerry's 'I don't have time to have a bad time'.

The fate of the current of is aligned with the HC.

Just like I thought. Jethro and Son see 2018 as a success. Next...
Since when have either one of them seen any sort of fleeting success as anything else but smashing success and deliver continuity as a result?

The pair of them are too easily satisfied. That is why I laugh when people say that they desperately want to win.

People who are that driven to win are not so easily swayed by momentary "success".
