Ok then compare environment to environment in your clearer picture and don't ignore what putting Ezekiel Elliot into your backfield provides.
Oakland in that span had one of the best offensive lines in the league and a solid run game and one of the best receiving duos in the league. Let’s not create a fake narrative.

Jimmy G got a good sized deal (with an out after 2019) and that was for a decent 5 game stretch.

Anyone who thinks Dak is going to get some team friendly, small deal, doesn't understand the QB market right now. This is a league wide problem, as valuable as QBs are, they are getting paid far too much.

With how many players we have to pay on defense soon, the money we are giving to our offensive line, the money we will be giving to the RB and WR 1 - yeah, this isn't looking good.

So I guess this thread is about dumping Dak and signing carr immediately because Dak can’t make any throws.

I bet carr never missed a wide open reciever at all and all his passes were amazing passes that no other qb could make.

Bottom line, ignore what other teams are paying. Don't overpay because many of these break the bank qbs missed the playoffs. We can't afford that.

Yes!

Don't justify your own mistakes by pointing to someone else's.

Use their mistakes as a cautionary tale and a lesson not to make the same ones.

So let’s sign both.

I would prefer not signing a below average to average QB. However, I'd sign Dak to a big deal before I'd ever contemplate giving Zeke and Cooper big deals.

Sadly, all three of them are going to end up costly.

This site is truly amazing. Posters sit here all day telling us how bad Garrett is, how much Dak sucks, Zeke is too fat, Linehan is trash and Maranellia is garbage.......yet we sit here with 11 wins....how could such a trash organization get so many wins?

Derek Carr has a lot of arm talent and he's in a horrible Jon Gruden offense.

If Derek Carr was our QB and he would do really well here because of the matchups on the outside he would get thanks to Zeke.
Derek Carr has a $.10 head and is a loser.

Great arm talent means nothing with this combination.

It's easy to look smart when you're throwing the ball 20 times a game, most of your throws are conservative, and you're turning around and handing it to Ezekiel Elliot.

A lot of what Amari Cooper did came in a couple of games and again the environment in Dallas gets very favorable matchups in the passing game.

Dak threw 22 TD's and 7 of them came in 2 games.

Could you not cherry pick stats like this for each and every QB across the league by just discounting their 2-3 best games?

Probably but i'm guessing the QB's who threw 22 TD's and 7 came in a couple of games would be bottom tier QB's.

We've been to the playoffs 3 times out of Garrett's 8 seasons. 3 playoff wins and 0 Super Bowl wins since the 90s.

Again, you glorify mediocrity.

The fact that Derek Carr was ever the highest paid player in the NFL is a disgrace.

HIt must be why

I agree...

But he throws it on average 30.7 times per game through 3 years not 20. And if his throws are conservative, then why did Carr average 6.46 ypa to Dak's 7.4?

And yes, you are correct, Dak should have to play with 0 weapons anywhere on the field to be considered a "REAL" qb.

Yet, you quote my post and still refuse to answer the question. Our team sucks so bad how did they get to 11 wins? It makes no sense. Help me understand.
