Wonder what "many" means? Five, seven, ten years? Is it possible he can wait too long?

I don't blame Tony for not wanting to coach, especially when he has that cushy #1 broadcaster gig. He's out of town for a few days a week, and the rest of the time he's at home raising little QB's. He's got a dream life, why mess with it?

Romo joined the Ben and Skin Show on 105.3 The Fan and was asked what he’d do if Cowboys owner Jerry Jones asked him to return as a coach.

“Many years from now, I’m sure I’ll get back into the game a little bit from that perspective,” Romo told 105.3 The Fan.

...
“Coaching takes up so much time away from your kids,” Romo continued.

“I think that’s years down the road before I’d want to do that. I get one shot at raising these little guys and believe me, they enjoy when I come home and pretty much wear me out for the three, four hours every night before bed in a fun way.”

“They’re pretty enjoyable to be around right now. So I don’t want to miss that for anything right now.”

Damn right, Romo. Well done.

But David Irving is a selfish lazy moron when it comes to kids over football

Romo has kids and still does his job. David Irving can retire and leave football altogether and I would not blame him a bit but as a member of a team he has let this team down time after time. I don't recall Tony letting his team down or his current employers

I guess the 3.6 million he's earned over his career isn't enough

Well probably not if history is any indicator! Obviously I have no idea of what his financial situation is but this money does not seem to last long with pro players!

Along the lines of what I’ve been saying. He will want back in the league at some point but it will be a while. He’s great in the booth, has little ones at home, and is still young. He has plenty of time to be there for his kids, enjoy his millions while he is young, and still carve out a nice career in coaching when he want to. That time will come. He loves competition too much to stay away forever.

Breaks the Romo lovers hearts. lol

Not really. I think he'd make a great coach, but I'm happy that he chose time with his kids over coaching. He's not going to miss those special years of his kids' lives and later they'll all remember and be grateful for it. I'm completely happy for him and think he deserves that. Of course, when he got hurt in 2015, I was saying he should retire at that point so he could actually raise his kids before he got crippled and couldn't enjoy time with them like he should.

What I find pathetic are people that still choose to bash him and bash people that believed in him after he's retired.

sounds like a negotiation ploy
Yeah, I'm sure it's the only reason he and his wife had children.

"Many years from now" Translation......once Jerry kicks the bucket I would consider it.
