It's not the playbook that's broken, it's the offensive philosophy.

They don't need to blend everything. They need to completely obliterate everything from record that they've been doing for the last 5 years.

Getting Payton would be next to impossible not to mention reckless.

There’s no #1 pick this year, and to get him would require likely at least a #2 and #3 this year plus #1 next year.

This team needs more TALENT as much better playcalling. No amount of playcalling stops that 273 yard performance by the Rams. Only better DL do.

Let’s not think that Payton is Belichick. Garrett beat him 13-10 this year. Payton is clearly better but to me he’s not worth sacrificing 2 years worth of draft picks.

here is what we can discern from Jerry...they are beating the bushes and looking to hit a homerun with a proven young assistant coach to help Dak and the offense. As far as names...sounds like they are considering at least 3 guys,many from 1 team...THE SAINTS. Doesn't sound good for ole Scotty now does it. Knowing Jerry, if he gets a wild hair and finds a guy that he feels will be better than Garrett,he will pull the trigger in a heartbeat. This is getting lost in the fog.

I thought Payton had an opt out in his contract after the 2018 season??? Is that false?
