Surprised how many here are buying this as some momentous difference-maker.

Linehan was JG's guy. Jerry made him hire an OC and Jason picked his buddy from Miami. They run the same offense. They're very close friends. If you think JG wasn't heavily involved in this offense, you're crazy.

And do you really think they'll hire someone to install a completely new system with significantly different concepts? I don't. It'll be something very similar that JG can relate to. Which means not much change next year.

But I'm sure Jerry is getting reports of widespread fan glee and is rubbing his hands together thinking about how he's fooled them again for next training camp.

How am I just seeing this! Great now we can move on from the offensive excuses for being a bottom feeder in the passing game.

this is incredible news...might mean next year we struggle a bit with the new OC initially but should mean the future is bright!

Who was sitting beside Dak most of his rookie year getting the most out a QB with limited NFL ability? And SL has loads of experience and was horrible. Same with RM. Sometimes you need to roll the dice.
Oh forgot Romo called so many plays for Dak his rookie year....no wait....that was Linehan. So you want Linehan back with Romo hurt on the bench?

So Risen hurries and creates a thread two days ago about Linehan staying for 2019.

Then runs and creates a thread without any comment about moving on from Linehan two days later.

Those likes are #important

EXACTLY and that is what Moore said. They fired guys midseason and went right back to guys running the old formula. You think they are going to keep the staff and change it all? It's going to be a variation of what JG likes....power/90s ball. The issue is this seems more like a management move than coach since JG said he'd be back

If we play our guys in camp they can learn a new system
Not playing Dak and all new receivers in camp last year was a big mistake

I’m not asking this to rip JG but as s legit question...wasn’t Linehan “his guy.” As he finally got his guy
Afterwards, Jason pulled over on the side of the road and while wringing his and rocking back and forth, said, "How we doing fellas, this is getting entirely too close for comfort".

You can ask that question already.

What is he bringing to the team as HC?

He is bringing his offense. You may not like it but our current offense is from the mind of Jason Garrett. If a totally new offense is installed, then Garrett is really only there to put together practice schedules, give team talks, do press conferences, and make in game decisions on 4th downs and timeouts.

I've got news for you, that's all he does NOW.

I don't think so. JG said there'd be no coaching changes, this leads me to believe he is not in the loop quite like he used to. I think from this point on JG is on thin ice. I would not be surprised Jones looks for an OC that could be promoted to head coach.

I hope you’re right. I just said be prepared to be disappointed.
