Here is my issue with this

Moore may be a great coach and OC
Problem is that our FO is full of incompetents and the coach selection process is flawed

That is what gives me pause

I also don't want anyone being promoted or hired as OC because Dak is 'comfortable' with him. Our offense has underperformed and I want them uncomfortable not comfortable
I want someone who will break the status quo
Dak should not be selecting our coaches

I guess if he is hired as the OC we will just have to pray and wait and see

We have one of the worst offenses in the nfl.....Moore, Garrett and Linehan are not qualified to run a nfl offense right now

Could Kellen Moore turn out to be great? Yes he could ......

What I’m saying is I’m not qualified to be a toilet technician but I could be great at it because I’ve unclogged a backed up toilet full of #2 with my bare hands and I’ve also tied a shoppers bag between the hole and the flusher

Moore has done a little more than what you're suggesting in your analogy. Stating otherwise is removing his history and all context.

I just don't know what would make Moore more qualified, which is why I'm asking - how many years does he need as a position coach before he become qualified? Getting praise from college coaches, NFL coaches, and players on this team isn't enough to say he might just be a good choice for the job?

Moore was essentially a QB coach when he was a “backup” Qb.

Lets be real he wasn’t here to sling the rock around or at any point really step foot on the field at QB.

If he didn’t hurt himself the year he and tony got hurt he would of been surpassed by dak or a vet would of been brought in.

Dude is insanely football savey. He has the brain of a Payton Manning. (If you watched Boise state when he was qb) ice water vained like time brady) and a football body that couldn’t make a high school kicker envious.

I won’t love the hire. But it’s not because he is a potentially bad coach.

I won’t love the hire because Dak doesn’t have the mind of a Peyton Manning. He isn’t a statue like Tom brady.

Dak has the wheels of a cam newton. The body of a cam newton. Many similar strengths to a can newton. Dak a little smarter and much more tolerable personality wise imo. Where as cam can just huck it unlike I’ve ever seen.

My point is I think kellan Could be a good coach. I just don’t think he is the right coach for Dak.

This from a man who has been on the blue turf many many times. And has met kellan a few times.

Lets hope I’m wrong about him being just a good coach and he ends up being a incredible coach who can teach any type of QB and run a creative innovative offense like we had here at home.

Please football gods let him be the next Mcvay everyone is looking for.

Possibly doesn’t get it done. Running backs have a short shelf life. So yea, let’s waste Zekes best years while Moore learns on the job. Brilliant!!!

Zeke isn't what will make this offense great. His "prime" doesn't matter, he's an RB. You worry about the QB and the defense.

The thing I keep coming back to is this:

You can't wish for a young, fresh mind like McVay and also have experience to boot.

Whether it's Moore or some other youngster, teams are forced to take a chance when they go this route. They are taking a chance on the projection because the experience isn't there.

I had no idea that coaches and scouts around the league held Moore in such high esteem as a potential future coach. I can admit that I don't have enough insider info to really know what he brings to the coaches' room. Reading all the praise he's getting since this news broke definitely changes how I'm viewing this.

With everything that I'm reading and the nature of the game when it comes to hiring young, I'm suddenly cautiously optimistic.

Not much more can be said until the news is official and we see the offense on field.

This would be clear cut move to not make Garrett feel threatened.

I looked at the list of candidates, I'm hoping y'all did too. I've looked at the potential with Moore. I'd give him the job if I were the Jones. This FO seems way too cautious (stuck with Linehan way too long) so if they think he's a bright offensive mind then give him the reins. They've been good with other personnel decisions lately. I don't think the offense can be much more plain vanilla.

Yea he’s a “RB”, only the best RB in the game. Lol! Look at the stats of all the games we’ve won the past few years. What do they all have in common? Big games from Zeke. To get to the next level though we need better and more consistent QB play. We know Dak’s skill set so we need an OC that plays to those skills.

He is NCAA football savey. He has done nothing whatsoever to suggest he can do anything well at a pro-level.

It's debatable that he's the "best RB" in the game.

Getting 60+ more touches than other QBs and getting the rushing title because of it is not making him the best. There are better all-around backs in the league. An RB only getting 6 rushing TDs on 300+ carries doesn't make him the best, the fact he has no homerun hitting speed is also a negative.

You get there are multiple RBs that if they had more touches, would have equaled or surpassed Zeke in both yards and TDs this year, right?

That tells you about the RB position.

Problem is will Moore be running his scheme and JG's philosophy... or will it be JG's scheme and philosophy

I bet Moore can designs plays better than SL and JG

what is with all these people trying to force Moore down our throat? What exactly has he done, being Dak's quarterback coach, that has made Dak shine these past two years? I mean most of the time, a coach get promoted, say if they are the defensive line coach, if the defensive line shines. Then you might make him DC. But has Quarterback play the last two years been that spectacular that we are going to promoted the guy who coached him? Are you telling me that Moore is the reason that Dak did better this season and not having Cooper as his #1 receiver?

I don't want this team running a coaching apprenticeship program here.
Hire the best and the brightest minds that are already established.

Jerrah thinks he found the winning formula with Garrett and decided to repeat it I see.
