We are lightyears behind coaching and GM wise.
I think our players are as talented as any.
I think they are not put in position to consistently win.
I think this is the area where we lack. With a debatable average qb (goes both ways for the lovers, he's average in my books), MOST CERTAINLY.
It amazes me that people can watch what the Pats did to KC’s powerful offense and not understand exactly how important great coaching is.
I'd say we are about 273 rushing yards off.
Our team however isn't coached well enough to deal with the stadium conditions as the Rams did today. We would have floundered under those circumstances.
Which is how it always is. We always have great talent and never have teh schemes to show it. It's so frustrating.
Sometimes I can’t tell if its sarcasm. The always may be a tell.Which is how it always is. We always have great talent and never have teh schemes to show it. It's so frustrating.
Do you honestly believe we are that far off?
Based on what I saw in the Rams's/Saints we aren't
Even with JG as our HC
Even with Dak as our QB
Even with JJ as our owner
Even with Kitna as the QB coach
AND the possibility of Mini Me Moore as our OC
We aren't that far behind McVay/Goff, Payton/Brees and the Rams/Saints.

How? We couldn't hold the Pats jockDisagree.
Been this way for years, good year then they fall apart, time after timeWe are very far off, and this will become even more apparent next season. The Cowboys seem to always be a season behind everyone else. An organization that does not continually change and look for improvement will quickly die. That is what happens with the Cowboys. They have some success, become complacent, and a big giant turd follows the complacency. They then make a bunch of rushed changes, and the see some progress, and then more complacency. As someone always says here: wash, rinse, repeat.

Maybe Spalding will save the team 40-50 years from now when he gets his chance! This same question is asked every couple of years, then we backslide. Again. For 2 decades.
No, while Jerry and his offspring are in charge this is who we are.
