So with Drew Brees the last 2 seasons with a great running game and great defense Sean cant get it done; what do you think he is going to do with Dak a good running game and a great defense?

Im sorry folks but Cowboys fans are so illogical. Why would you want a coach that has more talent were he currently is and cant win it all? Of course all of this is click bait but still.
Hes still miles better than what we have now

This is an easy one.

Because he's 100 times the coach in place in Dallas.

Too bad it's not going to happen.
3 losing season with arguably the greatest QB of all time. Dont believe the hype. The media has you.

Maybe get to the NFC championship at least?
He has barely done that with Drew Brees. If you have that type of talent at QB you should have more than one especially when that QB has been great for so long.

[original thread got bounced, so I'm putting this here]
I saw an article on it and mentioned it a couple of times here. Maybe FakeNews from me.

I tried looking to confirm. My best estimate is that this was an issue prior to Payton's new contract in 2016, but he's now under contract to the Saints, and we'd have to give up something for him, although word also is that Saints management would be accommodating toward Payton, given what he's done for the franchise.

But really, nothing more valuable than an elite coach. And Payton seemed instrumental in both Tony's and Brees' development.
Thats actually incorrect. Payton can opt out of his contract because of a similar clause Doug Marrone had in Buffalo

No he is not. The only thing that Sean has done is win a Superbowl with arguably the greatest QB of all time....I could have done that. With that same QB he has had 3 losing records and the last 2 seasons he has had the best team in the NFC with Drew Brees and has underachieved. Oh and dont forget his SB is tainted with the suspension for bounty gate.

Meanwhile JG has been dealing Mr Glass (Romo) since he has been named HC. Life after Mr Glass has not been any better. He had to replace Mr Glass with a 4th round rookie QB and JG did pretty good. Patyon with a better QB and team did no better. Zeke misses 6 games we still have a winning record; Payton has the best team in the NFC and players were not prepared in the biggest moment of their season that same year. And we know what JG did this season and how Sean once again had the best team in the NFC and most of the players are so mentally weak that they are still blaming the refs for losing the game when really it was coaching.

You live in a world of make believe if you think Payton is a good coach.

His team already won one Super Bowl and but for a knothead for a referee would be playing in another one this year......but hey, let’s just stick with Garrett.

Drew Brees won him a Superbowl. The last 2 seasons the Saints have been the best team in the NFC and coaching is why they did not make it to the Superbowl. 3 losing seasons while Drew Brees had 3 of the greatest seasons at QB in NFL history.

So the plan is to give Payton less talent and expect better results? Wake up Cowboys fans.

So if I understand correctly, when the Saints lose its because of the coaching, but when Dallas loses its because of the players or the roster.

In other words, Garrett remains blameless no matter what, right?

Don't need to. The bottom line is Payton would be a huge upgrade over Garrett, but like Jerry, some refuse to see the forest through the trees.

I'm waiting for the day when Garrett is finally gone. Everyone who has been defending him will suddenly change their tune and bash him, saying it should have been done years ago.

What exactly has Payton done to make you believe that he can do more with less talent? If he cant do it with Brees with a great RB and a great defense....what has he done to make you think he can do it with Dak with a great RB and a great defense? Payton would be a down grade.

Fans crave for any semblance of hope and why Jerry’s rhetoric and nonsensical pleas to the addictive fanbase are so effective despite his continued selfish egotistical dysfunctional ways.

Just throw us a bone and we’ll continue begging for more.

Most of us that have supported the best puppet for Jethro and Son this era would throw him to the wolves in a heartbeat if we thought Jerry would end his foolishness.

I challenge anyone to come up with a more sound solution within the parameters the Football Idiots dysfunctionally ran organization will allow.

We’ve had greater HC in this puppet era with no better results and less talented built teams. Until you dig out the root of the problem the weed will continue to bloom.

There looks like there is something going on with Jerry's reluctance to officially name Moore OC and Kitna QB coach. And Garrett being testy at the Senior Bowl. My guess is Jerry will make run on Payton after the Super Bowl. Moore and Kitna will be Plan B if Payton doesn't materialize.
To “make a run” at Payton he would have to go the the Saints, offer them compensation, probably significant draft picks, and ask permission to talk to Payton.

Who wouldn’t love to have Sean Payton. It would be like getting Bill Parcells. Oh wait...

We had both of them at same time. But the Football Idiot still found a way to ruin it.
