Tony Romo was a very good QB almost great but Tony was a Gambler and was not afraid to take chances . The same chances that I have seen some other QBs take .

The problem was as good a QB as Tony was he was just that unlucky at the worst times . If Tony just had average luck just AVERAGE LUCK his whole career would have been different and the teams also but Tony probably has never won a scratch off at a gas station .

The guy had zero luck but it never dampened his desire to take chances at the worst times and sadly it had a negative affect on his career and the way fans and the media viewed him .

The only way I can justify it is to say all his luck was used up in getting the most coveted job in sports as an undrafted FA
Naw, Man!,,, that #9 had scads of "luck",,, stacked from the floor to the ceiling, yet ,call it "par for the course" as his "as yet to be unleashed footballish fame" was intentionally bottled up& corked tight in 2016,,,by the decreed edicts of OTHER WORLDLY& unseen powers,,, for mortal man& planet earth itself would've been perilously poised within that ethereally shadowing specters edge of the brink of extinction powers, were the #9 to have remained in the active competitive category,,,just sayingo_O

It was always some key player making a horrendous mistake when we needed them the most. I had zero faith in Romo's teams and it wasn't always his fault by any means. You're right about no luck at all, its an oblong ball and it rarely seemed to bounce our way in critical moments. I can remember frustratedly saying to blow up the whole thing, because for some reason beyond me we simply could not get it done with those teams. Could there have been a more challenging era of Cowboy football?
,,,er,,,
Tony Romo + luck = Him quivering some mighty fine prime quims ,that all others on this forum couldn't of even come close in catching a sniff of their shadows ,,,again, I'm just sayingo_O

His nfl pension alone will pay him well over a million a year.

His version of broke is having to decide between keeping 2 vacation homes or 5.
He doesn't see that first payment until he turns 55. That's another 10 year wait.

Owens is right. Tony was just an above average quarterback in an era of inflated passing stats.

Their are at least 10 quarterbacks playing right now better than Romo.

Mahomes
Brady
Wilson
Rodgers
Brees
Rivers
Watson
Ben
Luck
Ryan
Wentz
Goff
Good to see you that your inability to judge qb play doesn't just revolve around Dak.

Owens had 235 catches, 38 Td`s and 3,600 yds in his 3 years with Romo and yet he disses him, that says much more about Owens than Romo.
Just look at TO`s numbers before and after Romo (2003 to 2010) not including he`s years in SF when he was in his prime.
Owens should be thanking Romo instead of dissing him, but what`s new.

Well if you’ve noticed our fans will post even the remotest negativity as long as it trashes someone in the organization. I don’t like it so I said something.

All i read was your post. And it is filled with negativity.

I.know alot of people are looking for simple answers: good bad, black white, stupid intelligent etc...

All you do is nag about some behaviour you do exactly the same way.

For...... why would you put a player in the ROH who never won anything? I mean really, it's for honor, not choking in the big games. Hell, TR never even won an NFCC so he's not what one would call elite. He played some good games, but in the end, he never took the team back to championship status. A name who does deserve to be there is Jimmy Johnson, Troy Aikman because they actually won something.
The utter stupidity of what you said aside, the funny thing about people who cry about something like this is that the Ring of Honor is actually an individual honor. Your team name doesn’t go up there, YOUR name goes up there.
People cried that Romo was all about individual performance, now they’re crying because he’s going to the Ring of Honor because of his individual performance.

It's always the QB's fault with this chump. Did he forget his post game interview with tears in his eyes stating " That's my quarter back man". I guess Tony's execution was fine at that point of time because this guy was employed.

Agreed and when It looked like Tony was ready to take the next step Murray fumbled and Dez didn't secure the ball . The guy just had no luck , look at Eli in comparison and the lucky catches that changed his career . Those two guys are polar opposites as far as luck is concerned

The David Tyree catch in particular may never be seen again in playoff or championship history.

No there is a big difference between what I do and the likes of you do. No surprise you don't see it or choose not to.

Makes me sick, Eli is the biggest chucker ever. Its taken historically great catches for him to win.

Who's crying? Oh maybe YOU? I sure as hell ain't. Personally, as big a joke as this outfit has become the last 23 years under JJ, who cares, hell why not toss ole Kellen Moore up there while your at it... good grief, seems one struck a nerve.
