on the table.
I’m avoiding it like my name is Sandra Bullock.
I know the clueless sheep are running with it. Can’t turn on TV, Radio, or Twitter
Best ever!
And since Brady now has 6, I’m sure they’ve really lost all perspective and there debating who was a better athlete Brady or Jordan
Yeah let’s compare: The ultimate role player vs the greatest one man wrecking crew that sports has ever witnessed(wilt and Jim brown)
Would history be different?
What if Bill Walsh wasn’t driven by rather leave a year too early than a year too late
What if Joe Montana didn’t lose his job to an inferior QB
the Cowboys mini run in the 90’s May never have come to pass
No disrespect to the Cowboys but Walsh/Montana >>> Seifert/Young all day
As the great Eric Bischoff always says: context is king
This is why you shouldn’t label anyone in sports the absolute greatest without proper context
I think you may have Young mixed up with someone else as the 49ers won the Super Bowl in Young’s fourth season starting and they made the playoffs every year but one.A guy with 3 Super Bowl MVP awards is the original version of a guy whose legacy is that he had difficulty getting to and winning in the playoffs?

He is arguing that Brady's 6 rings does not make him the greatest and I agree. As for the comparison to Romo, He is saying Montana missed out on further super bowls rings, only because Walsh retired and an even better combo than Brady Belichick existed, ie Montana Walsh, again I strongly agree. {Romo missing out on rings because of not having the great coaching counterpart} I agree with that too.A guy with 3 Super Bowl MVP awards is the original version of a guy whose legacy is that he had difficulty getting to and winning in the playoffs?
The thread title makes no sense. Even if Walsh retiring did cost him some Super Bowl rings, he did have Walsh, and he did win Super Bowls, and he’d get post season accolades. His career was hardly akin to Romo’s career. He is arguing that Brady's 6 rings does not make him the greatest and I agree. Fair enough. Outside of the bizarre mention in the title, no one has said anything about Romo and I thought you were continuing the discussion people were having about Young being overrated/underrated compared to Montana.I was referring to the thread title that says Joe Montana was the original Tony Romo.
It does. Montana missed out on rings because he no longer had a great coach. Romo missed out on rings because he never had a great coach. At the same time as having a complete team. The thread title makes no sense.
Young was one of the most overrated QBs i ever watched playing. The way the 49ers handled Montanas injury and his demolition i will never forget. How they handeld player like rathman, rice, montana or craig. Players that brought them fame and Fortune. That had no class. Worst franchise in the league. And they havent changed. Just look at the Kapernik case.
Montana is the greatest QB to ever play the game. Brady is lucky to play in the right franchise which is corrupt but has all the right connections. Brady and the Patriots are just a shame for the game.
Fair enough. Outside of the bizarre mention in the title, no one has said anything about Romo and I thought you were continuing the discussion people were having about Young being overrated/underrated compared to Montana.
They are not close. With the same team around them Montana would win 10 out of ten times.Lmao at saying Brady is lucky yet Montana gets to play with Walsh and a stacked lineup in a salary cap free era.
Brady is much better than Montana.
I don't think you read the post. Oh well.Behind.Brady.lies Montana, Bradshaw, and Aikman. Tony isn't even in the entire conversation
It does. Montana missed out on rings because he no longer had a great coach. Romo missed out on rings because he never had a great coach. At the same time as having a complete team.
Oh no. That's not even close.Young is, IMO, the most underrated QB of all time. The dude was special. Better than Montana, special.
