If stranded and at all possible, you should stay with the vehicle. There was a case in another province a month or so ago where a father/daughter was out and the car broke down, the daughter decided to go for help and ended up freezing to death...very sad.

I could just pull the back seat down and access the sleeping bag without even leaving my vehicle.

That works out perfect. Best to stay with the vehicle. I know in Ontario, the police put yellow tape on cars on the side of the road that they have checked for people.

Yeah, it all melted here in Omaha and it created an eerie fog.

Sunday was foggy here as well. The weather is so unpredictable. Now it is raining today and tomorrow. Of course with melt, then the doggy dodo clean up begins. LOL

It was cold and now it’s raining and storming...in Canada in January. Only Southern BC should be getting rain in January.
