we as fans can argue all we want about daks contract but jerry is going to pay him regardless of what we think he has won lots of regular season games and the division twice in three years so he Is going to get paid and paid a large amount that's what going to happen

Dont expect him to find a 2nd contract in the NFL.

How long have you been an NFL fan, like 2 weeks? Prescott was NFL offensive rookie of the year and this past season had a higher completion percentage than Brady, Rodgers, Big Ben, Mahomes, Wilson and Goff you don't think a team like the bills wouldn't be ecstatic to be able to sign Prescott if he were to became a free agent. Only someone who's only been an NFL fan for a couple weeks would think Prescott would never get a 2nd contract in the NFL.

Dallas has Zeke, TANK and Copper to pay....that should be the priority.... Most QB's would love to play in Dallas.... great OL, RB, WR no brainer
Which better do you recommend and what would he cost

The Bills used a high 1st round pick to select Josh Allen, you dont just draft a guy give him 1st round money and then bring a high priced FA QB in... maybe the Commanders, but that is were all Dallas hasbeens go to end there careers.

I grew up in Midland. I had childhood friends with birth certificate names of Hoss and Bubba. He is using it as perjorative.
The things some people do to their children. Just glad there weren't pics of Jerry scratching his butt.

They have their QB. Only a handful of teams could use a quarterback right now. The Commanders would have a difficult time signing a QB to big money along with Smith's Contract. I'd count them out. The Jags? They are in prime position to take one in the draft. So are the Giants. That leaves Miami, Denver, and Cinci? Who am I missing? One of them are probably paying Foles.

It's clear from the article that he's gunning for the big money. I guess that I shouldn't be surprised, but I am.

From the article:

Prescott doesn’t see Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s team-friendly deal, for which he made just $15 million last season, as a blueprint for his own.

Nobody’s wife makes as much money as his wife does either,” Prescott said of Brady’s supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen, who earned $10 million in 2018 and $17.5 million in 2017, per reports. “When Tom Brady isn’t the breadwinner in the home, then that’s a great problem to have."

So in that case, he can do that. He can do his contract however you want to do it.”

I think the team knows how to pay what’s deserved,” Prescott told USA TODAY Sports before the Super Bowl, “and pay those other people at the same time what’s deserved without being frugal.

I love how Dak looked once Cooper got here. Dak is a warrior. I love the way he battles. I wouldn't pay him until his contract was over. This is my opinion. He needs to get to the playoffs again all the while reaching 30 TDs. The TDs are important because it shows you can carry a team if needed. Next season will be the samestory. Teams are going to focus on stopping Zeke and daring Dak to be them. He has to show that those days are over and if you do that I'm going to dissect you. If he does that, he deserves all the money anyone gets but as of now he is and middle tier qb somewhere around number 11-13. He needs to improve on placing that ball over defenders into his receivers hands. Russell Wilson showed how hard he worked because he used to be like Dak but now he can put that ball on the money as he showed in the playoffs. Dak has work to do but he can look at Wilson and see that it can be done and that's how he needs to play to get the pay

IF WE LET DAK test the market...we lose. He wont come back. He will sign with the Skins or Jags...a team like that. HE IS GETTING HIS MONEY,PERIOD. Best thing to do is to pay the man.Good QB's are just too hard to find.

Therein lies the dilemma.

Dak is a "good" QB, not a great one. Unless you think you can win a championship with a "good" QB, why would you pay him like a great one?

I beg your pardon, I did not perjure myself, I told the truth.

And you have my sympathy and this explains a lot, Midland is the entry point for the enema tube in Texas.

He’s worth more than Kirk Cousins... so blame the Vikings and Jags

Not really a surprise, since the end of his rookie year, Dak has always shown he’s a ***** for the money

Ummmmmmmmm..what?

Based on what, he's worth more than Cousins? Lol

Don't need a discount. He needs to be paid like the middle tier QB he is.

Exactly. If he demands to be paid like a top 5 QB, let him walk. He's not a top 5 QB. He's not a top 10 QB. He's an average or slightly above average, competent QB. If we overpay, we won't be able to afford the team around him that he needs to be successful. If someone else pays him as if he were an elite quarterback, let that other team make that mistake. We can instead look to the draft for a QB and continue building this team.

Just like Romo did, eh, CC? I never heard complaints against Romo when he was out pimping himself from the onset to so many sponsors? Even now he does it. Where are the complaints?
Who were/are those sponsors? I don't recall a lot of Romo sponsor spots and if he's doing it now, he'll have a contract issue with CBS, if it isn't for CBS.

The QB market is what it is not because of Dak Prescott or anything he did. You can thank the Minnesota Vikings and that ridiculous contract they gave to Kirk Cousins.
The owners don't want to pay that kind of money, so I don't understand why the players have any leverage. If the owners just decide to pat only so much for a certain position, there's really nothing the players can do to change that.

The interesting part is it has little to do with his ranking as a top QB. It is based on the needs of his team and they have 0 alternative and his agent knows it.

Ya know why Brady took less money to stay with the Pats? Because if he hadn't, Kraft would have let Belichick trade him. He's not stupid, he needs Belichick more than Belichick needs Brady.
