Beasley's replacement?
Why? Just because some writer likes him and thinks Tate is unique doesn't mean it's a feasible fit for the 'Boys.

With Gronk potentially retiring and Hogan a free agent, the PATS probable needs to add a receiver this offseason are of concern.

McDaniels might also change the offense and adding Tate would likely produce more spread looks with two excellent slot receivers in both Tate and Edelman.

That said, Gate will sign with the PATS and take their two year, $22 million deal.

Tate can flatten Sean Lee again but this time in practice...

That's actually a really good option for us. I've never understood the Tate-hate. He's a hell of a player and he's got the attitude to help out this offense a little bit. He'd fit in well with Zeke.

If we signed Tate I really dont see how anyone could be upset. With that said I am meh on the possibility. But being real the guy is killer after the catch and if Kellen believes he can make it work then Im cool.

This he is better than Beaz, plus keeps him from going back to the egirls but price is the key.

WR wasnt a concern or is a concern, even if we lost Beasly, its still not a high priority.

How do?

We have Cooper and Gallup.

If Beasley walks who replaces him?

Are you really banking on Noah Brown or Cedric Wilson being a real factor?

His best games ARE AGAINST US ; hell no....................
That was the past. Currently, his worst games are against us. Look at Cooper’s stats from AT&T stadium against the Egals. He played 90 snaps and had 10 catches for 217 yards and three touchdowns.

Verses Tate who played just 20 snaps. He had one catch for seven yards. He was targeted just three times. Which was probably due to Wentz' man crush on Ertz.

Cooper had more yards and touchdowns that Sunday than Tate has in five games (189 yards, 1 touchdown) since he joined the Egals at the trade deadline on Oct. 30.

And Broaddus thinks he's unique. He's 30 and his so called unique days are a thing of the past. Stats don't lie.

If this is true......might as well kill the thread coz ZERO chance of this happening.

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/golden-tate-6568/market-value/

GOLDEN TATE'S CALCULATED MARKET VALUE

After applying our Prime % figures into our base calculated value, we're given two values. The average of these values becomes our current calculated market value.

TERMS AVG. SALARY
3 years, $30,662,703
$10,220,901

The market was much lower last year. Top AAV for anyone over 26 was 7.1.

I don't see us taking a starting caliber guy who is going to cost starter money. Even the 7.1 I don't see. We've got our two starters.

But Hurns, Beasley, Austin, and Williams are probably no. We bring in some vets, but not that kind of money. The money for these guys goes to Cooper. I wouldn't be that surprised to see Austin or Williams back. Williams very likely for camp. He's already under contract.

Sure who wouldn’t want Tate. That salary cap is a problem though. Much bigger priorities. Tate will cost a ton more than Beasley because he can actually play. A big time pass. Broaddus has a spotty history with roster calls.

Two problems.
1. Tate likes to go deep and is more of big play WR even though he is small. When you put him in the slot and have him run a bunch short routes he doesnt seem to be as effective as the Eagles found out.
2. Dak seems to have good chemistry with Beasley and I think thats important for Dak to have success.

Rather see Humphries from Tampa Bay brought in.

He could make some noise in Dallas

Certainly in the cost department:

Calculated Market Value
$10.4M AVG. ANNUAL SALARY
Market Value
  • 4 yrs, $41,782,880
  • Avg. Salary: $10,445,720
  • NFL Rank: 124
  • WR Rank: 20
Current Contract
  • Free Agent: 2019
  • Avg. Salary: $2,914,000
  • NFL Rank: 518
  • WR Rank: 61

Another huge price tag that's not happening.
