Generally, I am a big fan of your posts... often, I find myself chuckling outloud at something you'written.

However, your malicious and mean-spirit reference to using an oscillating fan too keep cool in Arizona (while I still have 2 feet of snow in my front yard), is most unfortunate.

I will mull this over as I am shovelling.

It's a brisk 15 F now and headed to a tropical 25 F high today - with a bit more snow on the way.

Most of my friends and family from Texas assume we buried in snow throughout the winter. Nothing could be further from the truth. Typically, we will have a day or two of snow followed by a week or more of brilliant sunshine. Just this past week the daytime highs were in the mid-40's with lows in the high 20's -- perfect winter weather.

That said, we've had more snow to start this year than I can recall. Most of Colorado is already at 100%+ of annual snowfall with a lot more snow projected for the remainder of Feb and March.

Uncharacteristically, my wife asked yesterday, "so, should we plan a quick trip to Playa del Carmen to warm up?"

The plus side of a month and a half of highs in the single digits or maybe low teens on a good day is, this sunny 25 degree day seems downright balmy.

Days are getting noticeably longer too.
