Curious about the compensation.
Supposedly a mid-round pick per Rapoport.

It is not as much the comp as it is they need to really rework Flacco's contract to a decent level from where it is now.

If I were Baltimore, I would have kept him. But i get that a 28m cap hit is a bitter pill to swallow for a back up qb. So I understand why they moved him.

However, I gotta say I am not sold on Lamar Jackson as a qb. I mean, if under 200 yards per game and > a 60% completion rate is your thing, then ymmv i suppose.

Well, Elway was the wrong quarterback until he teamed up with Terrell Davis. So...
He'd already been to a couple of Super Bowls, so no, he wasn't the wrong QB. He was already a league MVP and future Hall of Famer
But yes, TD helped get him over the top.

And more and more desperate too.
I can't even decide if it is desperation per se.

He just keeps going after bad QBs. Aside from Manning, he has had what? Osweiler, Siemian, Lynch, Keenum. That is pretty awful.

Was he the GM when they did the Tebow thing too?

I don't expect them to touch Flacco's deal, but expect Keenum to get dumped the second the ink is dry. Flacco's current deal includes no guaranteed money for the next three years. Plenty of time to draft your next guy.

No, I think that was Brian Xander and McDaniels.

The Chargers provided a blueprint on how to stop Lamar in their playoff game.

He better learn how to throw an accurate and consistent ball in a hurry.

Maybe they gave up the 4th that they got from Houston in the Demaryius Thomas trade.
Since Thomas has since been cut, I guess they could get him back if they wanted--so would get both players for "free" draft pick wise.
