Bottom line is...he left. You can say he retired but he took his experience, leadership, and left behind a void after the Cowboys had already drafted!

Can he come back to the same role, or should he return humble?

I wonder if he will physically be fresher after a year off when he hasn't taken hits in 20 months. That and the reduced role should help.

and hungry....this is why I'm 100% confident he's going to help team many ways not showing a stat sheet.

Dear Jerry-
Maybe you would like to get Troy and Romo back...maybe Jay Novacek...or...just go for the glory Jerry...get Roger and Drew Pearson back. Think of the jersey sales Jerry. You won’t be a good football team but when has that been the goal?

Signed,

I bet Jay-No is out fishing/hunting right now.
And I bet that I am wishing that I was with him, doing the same thing.

Rhetorical question- I wonder how many other NFL teams would take Witten back at his age, a year after retiring? The patriots? No way.

I wouldn’t be shocked if Johnny Manziel is added for training camp. Lots aggies buying jerseys, lol.

Haze dropping knowledge. Agreed, he should be a conditional player.

If Eifert is a fair priced grab, we should still go get him. That would be a pretty good 2 TE set to run and pass out of.

We could kill the opposition with audibles and play action.
