I think most movies today are CRAP. I always end up trying to get Millennials to watch some older movies so they can enjoy than "Transformers 15" or "Marvel Comics New Obscure Super Hero"

1-Monty Python's "In Search for the Holy Grail" it is timeless and with all their fascination with "Game of Thrones" it might be enjoyed.

2-The Warriors-My favorite movie. Any guy who sees this movie enjoys it.

3-Zulu-Just an awesome war movie

4-Bloodsport-The Martial Art Scenes are awesome and the cheesy lines also make it a great flick.

5-Good Fellas-Just a great Mob movie.

SO PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ADD YOUR OWN TO THE LIST.

SO many.

Most haven't seen hardly any of the top 50-100 rated all -time. Just peruse there and branch out based on personal taste.

I mean, you have to see
The Godfather series
Shawshank Redemption
The Shining
Apocalypse Now
Taxi Driver
etc

Along with the many listed before my post:

Big Trouble in Little China
The Thing (John Carpenter's, not the prequel, but it's good too)
Ghostbusters (The original, not the 2016 abomination)

and many many more

Way too many to even attempt to list............

How about anything between 1977 and 2002?

Pretty much this. I would say that maybe through 2010 Hollywood held on to some decent material. Right around then though it just fell off a cliff. I know I may be in the miniority here, but, I am so over the comic book movies. How many of these do we need??

I don't know. I find the superhero movies more entertaining than most other genres, especially the Marvel franchise. There have been some truly epic films in the not too distant past, such as the LotR trilogy. I think there were more great movies back in the day, but that's not necessarily Hollywood's fault. Today's audiences need more spectacle to hold their attention, so the stories and acting often take a back seat.

Yeah things like the special effects and action of those movies has got pretty spectacular over the years. Also. I can't pretend like I haven't watched or enjoyed some of them. I just feel some of them are getting a little long in the tooth.
