Now they have released Parnell. Would love him as a backup again, but he will be too costly like everybody else,
Wow! Another $5.5 million shaved off their cap. Coughlin is cleaning house today.

This might be a decent pickup.......but he might get signed with another team, then our "all in" FO can continue with their annual "we had interest" response.

Reading that might not nearly be as much of a done deal.

Supposedly they are looking at Teddy Bridgewater too.

To me, that is smart. Foles is a system QB.

Foles was successful under Chip Kelly and successful under Doug Pederson. The only coach he struggled under was Jeff Fisher. Call him a system QB all you want but he has proven he can win. What exactly has Teddy Bridgewater proven? People want to gripe about Dak but if you compare Bridgewater's first 2 seasons to Dak then there is clearly a winner. I could only pick the first two years because Bridgewater has not really played the last 3 years.

Dak 65.2% completions, 7.4 yds attempt, 45 TD passes, 17 ints, 12 rushing TDs
Teddy 64.9% completions, 7.2 yds attempt, 28 TD passes, 21 ints, 4 rushing TDs

Foles was really only successful in one year under Chip. He was pretty blah his second year before he got hurt.

So in reality, he's had like one and a half really good seasons in the NFL - the 27/2 season under Chip and then the SB run in 2017.

What's it going to be then, eh?

the jags are cleaning up space for a qb most likely foles
They probably were making these moves regardless. The Jackson cut has been talked about for weeks, well before anyone knew what the Eagles were going to do about Foles.

They lost Irving and Collins is a part time player. It's debatable just how good Woods really is. DT is one of their biggest needs.

Yes. DE up there too. Tank is going bye bye most likely in a trade.

So, Jags released their starting SS(Church) and FS in the past 4-6 months.

So in reality, he's had like one and a half really good seasons in the NFL - the 27/2 season under Chip and then the SB run in 2017.
In 2013 the Eagles were 3-5 when Foles took over as QB. He led them to a 7-1 record over the last 8 games of the season and they made the playoffs. The Eagles went 10-6 and lost by 2 points to the Saints in the 1st round
In 2014 he led the Eagles to a 5-2 record prior to getting hurt. Sanchez finished the season and failed to get the Eagles in the playoffs.
In 2015 (his only bad year) he struggled through 11 games under Jeff Fisher.
In 2016 he looked good when he got to play with the Chiefs but he was the back up to Alex Smith
In 2017 he went 2-1 to end the regular season after Wentz got hurt. The one loss was the last game of the season and Sudfield finished the game because it was meaningless. He then won 3 straight playoff games to win a SB.
In 2018 he went 1-1 to start the season and then the Eagles struggled under Wentz and were sitting at 6-7 when he took over. He won the last 3 regular season games which were the equivalent of playoff games and then 1 the first playoff game on the road against the Bears. Lost to the Saints in a game they may have won if Jeffery does not allow the ball to go through his hands for an int.

So, since 2013 he is 18-5 in the regular season as a starter for the Eagles (under 2 different coaching staffs) and 4-1 as a starter in the playoffs. Again, what has Teddy Bridgewater done?

As an aside, I am really surprised and disappointed that Rod Marinelli is sticking around yet another year. I didn't see that coming if Richard stayed with the Cowboys. I thought for sure that would force Marinelli out. Which needs to happen for this team to take the next step defensively. Get his voice out of the personnel meetings.
Damn. That almost ruined my day.what else would you expect from Jerry&co though
